It was alright. It broke the pace of the later stories a bit but it was done with respect to continuity and addressed most of the complaints N52 fans had aside from the Superbro/Wonder Woman shippers.

That's why some people disliked him. He replaced a version of Superman people were accustomed and didn't had a lot of good stories to compensate. There's nothing more to it.

Im wondering if the resolution of the Manhattan plot line at this point is just gonna be everyone getting their post-Crisis histories mostly restored like Superman's.

Batman's mostly okay the timeline is shrunk but the New 52 didn't add anything new other than Zero Year.

No. My issue with it is that practically deletes Superbro as most of the most important plotlines and the status quo are directly derived from Superdad and Superbro's most important plotlines are all tied up to his death which still had to happen but not really(which also raises the question of how the fuck did Kenan come to be). None of Superbro's status quo really matters, the merged Superman is essentially a Superdad who wore Superbro's uniform.

It made continuity more convoluted with absolutely no gain for either Superbro or Superdad fans. Granted, this also means that if you only like Superdad you didn't lose much and Superbro was dead so if you only liked him you were screwed regardless of the merge.

That said I was mistaken, they did keep Martha dead from Superboy. I got so used to the Kents being dead I forgot that part.

I am satisfied with the history he has now up until this point. It just doesn't work in the context of the rest of the universe and it's characters.
