No bullshit: I grew up in a small town in the 1980s, and before we got cable, we were limited to what we could get on the TV via antenna.

For literally years we had a station that played Go-Bots but none which were running the contemporaneous Transformers episodes.

While my fellow first-graders had among them fans of the Go-Bots whom I could share my enthusiasm with, my inability to take part in "which is better" conversations certainly did limit me, socially.

From what I've seen it looks typical 80s anime budget. Been interested in watching it for a while - the fact that humans in power suits kick giant robot ass alongside a goodguy force looks awesome. Someone's subbing it, or has only subbed it part way from what I've seen.
