The amount of love, time, and care that went into the Prequel Trilogy is staggering and heart-warming. Plinkett's selective editing made it seem like it was the cast and crew vs. George in some way but the truth couldn't be further from the case.
All it takes is to watch the brilliant and extensive BTS special features from ROTS alone to see how much effort went into these films from everybody. Great Art, great miniatures, groundbreaking CGI, incredible costume design. It's a shame it's often overlooked

>Plinkett's selective editing made it seem like it was the cast and crew vs. George in some way

Terance Stamp had a particularly unpleasant experience making the movie. But he wanted to work with Natalie Portman and had no patience for the special effects.

Peter Serafinowicz wasn't even invited to the premier despite being the voice of Darth Maul.

George was more than a little abrasive to some of the actors
>>
>>92080484

No Director is perfect, most actors and crew have far worse experiences with Directors than people say they have with George.
For the most part he's a good guy to work for.
>>
>>92080484

Terrance Stamp just wanted some of that tight 17 year old Natalie Portman butthole and I don't blame him that he was pissed when he didn't get it

The BIG THING on the R1 BD bonus features is some "breaking barriers for women and minorities" thing where "fans" who don't know anything about the series are praising Disney for being so progressive.

So, which Star Wars game had the best Hoth Battle?
>>
>>92080759
Rogue Squadron 2>Star Wars Arcade>Shadows of the Empire>Battlefront 2>Rogue Squadron>Rogue Squadron 3.
>>
>>92080759
This isn't going to be the answer people want to hear, but Battlefront kinda wins by default because there's like 4 different Hoth maps.

Even if we stick to the two Walker Assault ones, the entire gamemode (and the backbone of the entire game) is based on the Battle of Hoth. The Walkers are threatening because even when the AI controls them, they can stomp and blast you with ease. They're destroy everything in their path, and the Rebels have a very limited amount of time to stop them. It's very frantic and chaotic, but the objectives are clear, especially with certain points in the game mode dedicated to focusing specifically on the Walkers, and you really get a rush when the game is close and your entire team is focused on taking the things down.

If there's one thing to praise about that game (besides visuals and sound) is Walker Assault was a damn good game mode that let you feel like you was in that battle. Too bad its the only game mode like that.

Also, bonus answer for WORST Hoth battle in vidya, is Lego Star Wars 2. The Lego Star Wars games are great, with the exception of that mission. I hated that mission, wasn't fun at all.
>>
>>92080868

Apparently Peter Cushing enjoyed his time on Star Wars a lot more than Sir Alec. Maybe it was because Cushing acted in B-Movies way more often than Alec.

I liked Rogue One.
Was Catalyst any good? I was afraid of it being garbage tie-in marketing BS.

NuCannon X-wing novels when? Thrawn was pretty good.
>>
>>92081057
One of the top tier NuCanon books.
Thrawn is next on my list after i read some shitty light novel The Rising of the Shield Hero, volume 6
>>
>>92081033
Alec was frustrated at Star Wars' success. I don't think he hated making it, but he didn't like that he was only going to be remembered for being in a "silly kids movie", and was bitter about the fan obsession with the movie.

Cushing on the other hand apparently loved working on the movie, and said he almost regrets being killed off because he would have done it all again.

Cushing's praise for the series and Lucas is part of what made Christopher Lee happy to play Dooku in the Prequels. He wanted to share his place in the Star Wars legacy with his old friend.

>>92081057
Catalyst is far from a Tie-in. It is IMO one of the best Star Wars books ever written. It serves as a prequel to the movie, but also greatly expanding the canon universe, from stuff we saw in TCW, right up to the heels of Rogue One.

It gives some vital development to Galen and Krennic which makes them much more compelling characters than what you just see in the movie.

Yeah Jyn is barely in the book because it's mostly set during the Clone Wars when she was a baby but the main story is Krennic maneuvering his way into leading the Death Star project while manipulating Galen into helping him.

Quick, /swco/, you've fallen through a time portal to before 1977 when Star Wars was just a concept bouncing around in George Lucas' brain. He tells you all about it and says that he's having trouble coming up with a title for the series.

http://ew.com/movies/2017/05/04/star-wars-rian-johnson-force-awakens-ending
>The Force Awakens was wrapping up production, and its sequel, The Last Jedi, was just getting underway. J.J. Abrams had not only resurrected the Star Wars universe, but he had introduced entirely new characters to the galaxy to carry the narrative forward.

>But as one film prepared to hand off the story to the next, The Last Jedi writer-director Rian Johnson had a major favor to ask: Would Abrams mind changing the ending of his film?

>Johnson already had a to-do list for the Force once it awakened, and he was involved early enough to know exactly where Abrams and co-screenwriter Lawrence Kasdan were taking things. But when he saw the planned ending — that silent scene of Rey returning an exiled Luke Skywalker’s first lightsaber to him — he had a concern about who was accompanying her on that journey.

>His request will end up returning a long-beloved Star Wars figure to the center of the action: R2-D2.

>“Yes … The big [favor] was, I asked if R2 could come with Rey, and if BB-8 could stay behind with the Resistance,” Johnson says. “Originally it was BB-8 who went with Rey, which makes sense for the story in a way. But I asked, ‘Can you do me this solid and switch the droids?’”

>For everyone worried that Luke Skywalker might not have much of a role in the saga going forward, Johnson tells EW that his is the central story.

>“Figuring out where his head was at was the very first thing I had to do when writing the movie. I had to crack this. And it had to be something for me that first and foremost made sense. Why did Luke Skywalker go off to this island?” Johnson says. “That was the starting point, and that’s what the entire movie explores.”

BASED RIAN

>>

Hamill didn't say that.

He says everything is great, except Luke. He has been honest about disagreeing with what happened to Luke (which is honestly quite sad), but he has had nothing but praise for everything else about Rian and TLJ.

Compared to him saying TFA was "just another generic blockbuster, like Transformers", and I think it's clear that he feels better about TLJ.

>>
>>92084433

Yeah, but Mark also said he wanted Luke to turn to the dark side which would be a complete betrayal of everything the character had gone through and developed.
>>
>>92084357
When I got back into Star Wars.

Honestly, the only reason I came to dislike the prequels was because of over-saturation at the time. Got too into the material, and I wound up burning myself out as a result.

>>
>>92084516

I don't think it's any worse than Lapti Nek. Much better in fact.

I never got the "Jedi Rocks is out of place!" argument, as if Lapti Nek is any more fitting to be playing in Jabba's Palace.

The original puppets are some of the worst looking in the series annyways.

>>92084626
I don't think the "NOOOOOOOO" i bad either, perfectly in character for Anakin and fitting for the moment.

Theres a fanmade "despecialized edition" which splices together a shitton of different versions of the movies to attempt to make a HD version of the OT with all the changes removed. Frankly, I don't support such autism, the blu rays look great, and 95% of any changes are either harmless, or actually improve the movies.

Going into college at around 2010 gave me time to revisit Star Wars as a whole and while I liked the Prequels, I couldn't really explain why until discovering the Ring Theory and looking into everything that went into Lucas' creating the world, mythology, characters and style of the Prequels.
>>

I think it's a good contrast to show how people become sith. Palpatine was a psychopath who wanted that life at any cost. Maul was conditioned as a child to the point where he couldn't consider or understand anything else. Dooku was an adult who understood his choices. Anakin was in too deep by the time he realized it was too late.

Visas was just a scared girl who lost everything.

Because it has a more ominous cinematic presence with the dish pointing to the left, and you can't see the grasping clawlike construction sprawl if you simply rotate the model.

Furthermore, a great many models in the OT are mirrored simply because the side facing away from the camera is where the bluescreened carriage that holds the prop up for filming is located. Note how you NEVER see the starboard side of the Nebulon B in the movies, it's always the mirrored port side of the model.

Depends how and where they were asking people. I find it hard to believe Maul could be peoples favorite character based on his movie appearance alone.

You'd be surprised at how many people know about Maul returning. It's common knowledge among Star Wars fans.

It was probably the most marketed thing from the entire show. I remember it getting a lot of digital media coverage, and trailers dedicated to Mauls return.

In fact it's what got me to pick the show back up.

Years ago, I took a mythology class in high school, and a girl did a Power Point presentation on Christianity, and when it was time for her to talk about the Devil, she showed a picture of Darth Maul.

>>
>>92088504
True, I remember the trailer showing Maul's igniting his lightsaber (which frankly shouldn't have been in the trailer, but they did the same shit with Kylo so whatever) and it was like a bomb dropped.

Even still, unless you're an edgelord, it's not enough to be your favorite character without actually seeing him as a Sith in action in TCW.
>>

>lost potential
There wasn't much potential at all because Maul didn't have much going on. The success of his revival is that they were able to mostly convincingly staple a new character on top of an old one. I wouldn't say they tapped into lost potential. Maul was just something of a blank slate.

I don't think it was all that worth it or interesting, though. I'm pretty much with >>92086020. But then, I don't like Rebels or TCW that much in terms of how they relate to the films in general. I just like them as action-adventure cartoons on their own merits.

Honestly the Maul revival worked because it was a great example of what the TCW did best: staple characterization onto underdeveloped characters from the PT. Maul was a non presence beyond looking menacing as fuck in Phantom Menace, TCW built a character for him to step into
I'm honestly really happy they managed to resurrect him for the show. I loved Maul's design as a kid, and was a little disappointed when he died since he wouldn't be coming back

>There wasn't much potential at all because Maul didn't have much going on.
Ok, two things.

Firstly, Maul was a Sith Lord. That alone means there is story potential.

Secondly, and this is a common complaint with TPM, is that killing Maul so early robbed Obi-Wan of having a personal antagonist later on. Imagine if after killing Solo, Rey was able to kill Kylo. The emotional tension is dropped for the sequel as a new villain would have to be introduced.

>The success of his revival is that they were able to mostly convincingly staple a new character on top of an old one.
>Maul was just something of a blank slate.
To an extent. It's true that TPM didn't give them much to work with, but they did squeeze the movie for every bit of characterization they could. From how he talks (calm and well spoken), to his mannerisms, right down to his animalistic nature derived from his snarls and growls.

They got to show him being an actual Sith Lord. The aspects of the Sith beyond just trying to kill Jedi. They did everything they could and should have done to flesh him out as a character, with what they were given in TPM.

Jar Jar may conceptually be grating, but the guy is a really innocent and bumbling idiot, but in a positive way.

He always tries to do what is right and just. He just wants to help people. He shows how innocence and trying to do the good thing can often be twisted by those in power to their own will.

Palpatine, being the dick he is masterfully uses Jar Jar, which makes me feel really bad for him. Not to mention he was great in Mace and Jar Jar's Great Adventure.

>I don't think it was all that worth it or interesting
Just gonna have to disagree with you then. I (like a lot of people from what I can tell) thought the Maul arc was one of the shows highlights. It raised some serious emotional stakes for Obi-Wan, that people couldn't have even imagined happening. Maul himself was a wild card in the show that always mixed things up when he was around. And his end in Rebels (regardless of the rest of the episode) was wonderfully done that did a great job wrapping up his and Kenobi's story, as well as being a meaningful end to what we first saw of him in TPM.

Bringing Maul back gave us a fun and emotional ride with a character that has emotional ties to Obi-Wan from the very first movie, and thats a rare opportunity when expanding into tv shows. Lucas clearly didn't want to miss it, and some people may say "it's not necesarry!" but I think it doesn't matter, the end result was very enjoyable to watch. Maul fans got more Maul, Obi-Wan fans got a wonderful Obi-Wan story, there was some fantastic villainy and backstabbing with Sheev and Pre Visla that is just solid entertainment. Maul's "resurrection" hurt nothing, and only added to the story in a very successful way. It's silly to me to complain about something that ended up being a success, even if you think the initial idea wasn't a good one. Lucas was all about taking risks. He decided he wanted to tell the story of Maul returning, to give Obi-Wan a spotlight in TCW that he previously didn't have. And it worked out, it gave us some of the best action, drama, voice acting and episodes of the entire series.

So I will always enjoy and be happy with how they did it.

And one final though; I never really hated the idea from the start because the EU did it like 3 times anyways, so I was used to it. But for what its worth, the canon version of events is very satisfactory to me. Filoni has already talked about the importance of death, and not retconning it, and he was even initially opposed to Maul returning, but it was one of the few things Lucas was adamant about, so it's not like this has cheapened death in any way.

On the contrary, Mauls ACTUAL death was done very respectfully and significantly. His final moments actually add both to Mauls character, but Kenobi's. And thats more than we could ever ask for.

Sorry for the rant.

>killing Maul so early robbed Obi-Wan of having a personal antagonist later on.
You're assuming the story needed this. I don't think it really did. You can have ongoing sources of conflict that aren't tied to a relationship to an overt villain. Anakin's ongoing personal antagonist is his own baggage. Obi-Wan's, as far as the prequels are concerned, is the question of how to deal with Anakin. He didn't need a red lightsaber to deal with across three movies because the movie emphasizes conflicts elsewhere.

I don't think Maul is a very interesting character in TPM, but I don't think reviving him "corrected" what came before the revival; it merely provided a new story of its own (with mostly entertaining results). I think it handled reviving him as gracefully as it could all things considered (especially his for-real-death in Rebels).

Thats true, Maul being in the remaining prequels wasn't necessary, especially because of the planned time-skip after TPM.

I wasn't suggesting it should have happened, but that's one of the "i can make the prequels better xD" fixes I always hear about.

But that to me makes it an obvious story thread for the tv show, which Lucas rolled with and it worked out pretty damn well. If you get to continue a thread from a movie in a tv format that is more appropriate for the story, well it seems like a no-brainer. You have investment from the movies, it's easier to market to new viewers if you care about that (I don't believe Lucas did), and it is a good way to build continuity. People enjoy it when stuff they're invested in gets extended into other media. It's why /swco/ was literally cumming into their popcorn when the Ghost showed up in Rogue One.

Which probably sums up why modern Bioware is so goddamn cringey. They insist that everybody you can bring around is either a snarky bitch or an angry one. I spent all of ME2 with Jacob in my party just because he doesn't get into petty ass spats every five minutes.

I fucking dread the idea of an EA Kotor because Juhani would be turned into an angry alt lesbian with no subtlety and Carth's existing BS would be ratcheted up even higher. Bastila is barely bearable half the time as is.

I mean, the OT does this too.
Luke mostly develops off-screen. The jump from his personality/demeanor from ESB to ROTJ is something Plinkett would shit all over if it was in the PT
>muh off screen development!1!!!!!1
Also we never see Yoda train him in the things that he's better at in the second half of ESB (swordfighting, force super speed).

Leia never really changes. Starts as a woman-of-action politician/freedom fighter and ends that way.

Han changes, but he's such a cliche character (rogue with a heart of gold where the heart of gold wins out) that it's not much of an achievement.
Bonus points for TFA undoing it.

Nah. Lanter Anakin is a bland superhero 90% of the time.

why tho

the space battle in ROTJ is perfectly paced. IMO the Trench Run in ANH goes on for just a little too long, and I think that might be because they messed up the pace with the additions in the special editions. Once it's just Luke with Vader closing in the editing is perfect, but the lead-up to it could've been trimmed a bit

She seems to become a more open and warm person despite retaining her tough attitude. It's why her pairing with Han worked so well; they had similar character arcs in that sense and seeing them own up to their emotions is satisfying. I do think their characters were let down in RotJ, though.

it's because of the difference of showing and telling. Obi-Wan and Anakin are separated for most of Attack of the Clones, with Obi-Wan kinda just reprimanding Anakin whenever they're together. We're told about them having fun experiences together, but the only time we see one of those experiences is the chase scene on Coruscant, but Obi-Wan is bitching at Anakin the entire time. Anakin even goes on a rant about how much of a dick Obi-Wan is to him in his first scene alone with Padme.

Revenge of the Sith has them getting along in the opening sequence, I'll give you that. But the issue there is that by that point in the story Anakin and Obi-Wan's friendship shouldn't be that strong. They're fighting to the death at the end of the film, while a few days earlier they were having the time of their lives together. And the only scenes with the two of them between the opening sequence and the final duel is Anakin complaining about not being made a Jedi Master and Obi-Wan being like "eh whaddya gonna do"

When Obi-Wan says "you were my brother Anakin, I loved you." at the end of the film, the moment itself is emotional and beautifully done, but the audience hasn't actually seen anything close to "love" between the two of them.

IMO that's the biggest misfire of the prequels, not enough focus on Obi-Wan and Anakin's relationship. They're only really together in 2 scenes in The Phantom Menace, when they're introduced and during Qui-Gon's funeral. Obi-Wan having nothing to do in TPM while Qui-Gon took up all the screen time only to die at the end was a huge mistake. The two of really should have been combined into one character, or at least had a role reversal. I know Plinkett said something like this and I'll get shit for agreeing with him, but he's right in this instance. If Qui-Gon stayed on the ship meditating and Obi-Wan was the one who went to Tatooine and met Anakin, their friendship across all 3 films would've been so much stronger.

NOBODY died in TFA if they had a name. It was the star wars equivalent to a bunch of six year olds in a sand box.

Nobody said Tarkin had to stay around to be Leia's antagonist. Shit, even Vader wasn't Luke's foil in the first film.

Fair point, but nobody else. In the first film there's some big sense of accomplishment because not only was the death star gone, but Tarkin died too and Tarkin was a dick.

Starkiller base is gone, but literally every NuImperial on it somehow survived. Even Phasma somehow clawed her way out of a garbage chute in time.
>>
>>92090632
Wow, I disagree.
I REALLY disagree.

I think the relationship works very well because of the extreme contrast between their AotC relationship and RotS relationship.

Sitting in the theater in 2005 and seeing Anakin and Obi-Wan on the same page about fighting Dooku, Anakin suggesting patience, Anakin acting so much more mature and bantering with Obi- I think that really drives it home.

I think it comes down to the catharsis of the reversal.

Also, the opening shot of RotS where their ships fly in sync is the most beautiful "show don't tell" moment ever.

Because he's angsty.

It's more than that, basically all of their scenes in the film up to and including Obi-Wan's departure have them acting more like friends.

>But the issue there is that by that point in the story Anakin and Obi-Wan's friendship shouldn't be that strong.

I think the biggest reason why Starkiller Base seems out of place story-wise (aside from it being an obvious Death Star rip off) is because until the third act the film is about finding Luke Skywalker, specifically with BB-8 and the map. The ending to the film should've been tied to finding Luke, maybe along the lines of the Resistance and the New Order fighting above Ach-To while Rey, Finn, Han and Chewie deal with Kylo Ren and Phasma outside Luke's temple. The heroes could arrive first and Han would have a scene with Luke, who would tell them to leave and lock himself in his temple. Kylo Ren could arrive and Han could say something like "if you want to get to Luke you'll have to go through me" (obviously not as cliche) and then Kylo could kill Han, which Luke would see from the window of the temple. Finn and Rey could try and fight Kylo with the duel happening pretty much the same way it does in the film. Chewie could be off fighting Phasma or something. Finn's out, Rey catches the lightsaber. Luke's still in the tower. She fights Kylo and starts to get the upperhand but Kylo switches from trying to keep her alive to being enraged by losing to a girl and goes for killing blows. He knocks the lightsaber out of Rey's hand and she falls on her back, with Kylo's red lightsaber right in her face and nothing to defend herself with. Kylo says "you need a teacher" like he does in the film, and almost on cue:

Luke's green lightsaber ignites.

Luke kicks Kylo's shit in without struggling, and Rey starts to join the fight when Luke nonchalantly Force Pushes her to the side. He disarms Kylo Ren but doesn't kill him. Luke says something about mercy before pointing his lightsaber at Kylo's shuttle. Kylo scrambles to his feet and limps to his shuttle, with pretty much his tail between his legs. He flies away as the First Order retreats after realizing they can't win the battle.

this ended up being way longer than I expected

The final scene is Luke, Leia, Rey, Chewie, Poe, and the three droids standing in silence as they give Han a private funeral on Ach-to. Luke digs the grave himself, without using the Force. Poe and BB-8 leave in Poe's X-Wing to make sure Finn made it to D'Qar okay. Leia, Chewie, and Threepio go to fly to Kashyyyk, where Chewie will present Han's blaster for some sort of Wookiee ceremony. Leia stops before walking onto the Falcon, turning to Luke and saying, "may the Force be with you." Luke shows the hint of a smile for the first time in the film and nods back at her.

As the Falcon flies away, Rey stands next to Luke and Artoo. She looks up at him and takes the lightsaber out of her bag, silently asking him to train her. Luke stares at the lightsaber for what seems like an eternity before looking at Rey. He nods.

No shitty moving helicopter shot, instead we see Luke, Rey, and Artoo watching the Falcon fly away from behind. As the Falcon goes into hyperspace, we iris out to credits.

oh I forgot to say what I intended to respond with before I went on the "how it should have ended" tangent.

JJ and Kasdan needed another year to work the script, especially on getting the third act working and figuring out what to do regarding having Luke in the film without him taking the spotlight from the new characters, so they went to Bob Iger and asked for the year they needed but he only gave them 6 months (hence why TFA was released in December rather than May like the previous films).

So yeah, maybe I came up with a better ending, maybe I didn't. I know I'm not a professional while JJ and Kasdan are. I mean, aside from ESB and ROTJ, Kasdan wrote fucking Raiders of the Lost Ark. He gets a pass for life with those 3 in his resume.

The real blame should be on Disney for rushing the film out for absolutely no good reason. Why did it need to come out in 2015? Would May 2016 have been that unacceptable of a release date even if it meant the film would be better? Even Michael Ardnt was replaced by JJ and Kasdan because he needed more time as well.

And the decision to not use George's ideas was made before JJ came on board (pic related). I don't think he's the greatest writer/director and I don't think The Force Awakens was as good as it should've/could've been, but JJ gets way too much blame on here for things that weren't his decision at all. You guys should be blaming Kathy Kennedy and Bob Iger for TFA/the sequel trilogy's direction, not JJ. He definitely didn't have as much power in how the film was made as you guys make it out to be. I've seen people post that JJ was able to secretly make the film the way he wanted it to be in post-production because Bad Robot co-produced it, which is retarded to think. You think Disney would let him edit TFA completely unchecked after spending 4 billion buying Lucasfilm and then half a billion on the production and marketing budget for TFA? Of course not, JJ was on a shot leash the entire time.

>I mean, aside from ESB and ROTJ, Kasdan wrote fucking Raiders of the Lost Ark.
He did the most on Raiders.
Lucas drove the story in Star Wars, Kasdan just acted as a strainer.

It's like having a friend who shaves you bald, then gives you a real kick-ass John McClain wardrobe.

>On certain All-Terrain Armoured Transport (AT-AT) walkers used by imperial ground forces, the central hydraulic system could fail in extreme cold temperatures, such as on planet Hoth or in Northern Canada. This could impair laser cannon tracking, and affect the walker’s ability to maintain balance and could ultimately result in a crash causing injury to imperial troops. >>
>>92091426
I was about to mention that but I hit the character limit in my post.

Based on the behind the scenes documentaries for TFA, there's nothing major that happens in the film that wasn't originally meant to be there. And what could JJ have possibly done to completely change the story in post-production? And why would Disney/Lucasfilm allow that?

Nothing in that article adds up, and it doesn't give any sources on that specific claim either.

If you can think of anything to prove it or you have a source outside of that quote which is constantly posted, I'd be happy to hear it. But IMO it just reads like tabloid nonsense with more evidence against it than for it.
>>
>>92091606
Well we know that JJ changed the crawl in a way that muddied the waters on the relationship between the republic and the """"""resistance"""""" as per Pablo, so my bet is that anything he changed was to make it more of an OT rehash.

I feel like six months is plenty of fucking time to come up with a decent single act of a movie, besides, its clear that so much of TFA was meant to remind people of the Original Trilogy in any way shape or form. The only part of TFA that doesn't have some combination of heavy visual or storytelling nostalgia put front and center of the scene is the chase sequence from the purple beholders on Solo's barge and its the undisputed worst part of the movie.

I'll admit, I don't know how much of TFA was Abrams and how much was Disney, but Abrams' hands were apparently was all over the script from minute one and couldn't put anything in that felt interesting or unique. Without the heavy nostalgia factor and the charisma of the actors involved, TFA would be just as bad as TPM. Worse even, since at least TPM was trying something different with the franchise.

Mark Hamill talking to JJ Abrams, Kevin Smith, Stan Lee, and Jason Lee in 2005 about how he wanted Luke to go to the dark side at the end of the OT.

Obviously this is a decade old, but do you think this is probably what Mark means when he says he "fundamentally disagrees" with Rian's direction for Luke?

Assuming Mark isn't joking/being sarcastic, which he most likely is since he's too much of a professional to openly trash the film the way it's been made to seem. Plus he's tweeted about thinking Rian is incredible and also talked the same way about George/Kershner in the interviews on the OT blu-rays.
>>
>>92092715
>but do you think this is probably what Mark means when he says he "fundamentally disagrees" with Rian's direction for Luke?
I don't.

My guess is that Lucas gave him a copy of Dark Empire and he (Mark) liked it.

was Carrie sharing her coke with Mark and George? It'd explain why they all have different memories of what happened depending on what time of day you ask them.

But then again both Carrie and Mark remember the lines from their auditions verbatim, even though they were cut from the film

So has May the Fourth always been celebrated by normies? Interesting that Mark talks about the movie he's talking about (I think RotJ) as if George was the director.

Also interesting how there wasn't one bit of disparaging language about the PT from anyone there.
>>
>>92093177
It's not too surprising. Lucas took greater control over ROTJ because he didn't like the more hands-off experience he had with ESB.
>>
>>92093251
and it was clearly better for it since ROTJ was the best movie
>>
>>92093251
I know, and I find it funny that people so casually minimize his monumental involvement and helming of 2 out of 3 of the OT just to fit their narrative.
He also controlled Empire's narrative too of course.

>>92093251
That's 2 different meanings of the word "narrative" just to be clear.
I worded it poorly.
