There's a thread at least once every few months, modern consensus is show was great, comic was too, but fuck the artist/writer for the cliffhanger "ending" they left it at.

It's good but overrated.
Fans will act like it's the second coming of Jesus himself, when really there were a lot of structure and pacing issues on top of it mostly being a monster of the week show.
The outa ten for style though, no argument there.

This. It's literally my only real complaint with the series.

All they had to do was let us assume that the tree really did kill Jose, and omitted that scene of Adrian's light in his apartment being on so we'd assume Cybersix was dead to, and (while it would have been a downer ending), it at least would have felt like a finale, since Von Richter and all his monsters were dead too

I'm talking about the comic book.

She gets knocked up and the moment the kid is born the doctor steals the kid and runs off with it, Lucas is "killed", and it ends with the Doctor on the same island Six and all her siblings were created on, with the BABY trying to actively kill itself.

And then instead of giving it an actual ending they just stopped doing it, making that the finale.

It's not a long series so you may as well.

I watched 3 or 4 episodes. It's not insulting. It's not an embarrassment, except maybe for some of the dialogue between her and the big guy. It has a good premise and bits of interesting lore. But it doesn't seem like a show that is going to win anybody's heart.

I do like how later issues and the TV series made sure to make her male disguise not have those pouty lips. In the early issues those lips made her the most unconvincing man ever. Without them it's a lot more plausible that people would be fooled by the disguise.

the show is obscure though. hardly anyone talks about it. just because it's brought up maybe once every month or so doesn't mean it's commonly talked about. calling it overrated is a huge stretch. Especially considering it has some of the best cel animation to ever come from a non japanese series. Pic related. I feel most of the praise it gets is well deserved.
