The Aunt who was restoring the painting keeps talking to the girl about time travel like it's something that is normal and claims to have experienced it.
In the aunt's school picture, one of her friends looks exactly like the Orange haired guy who turned out to be from the future. The Aunt also says she was in love with this friend.
Orange Haired future guy says the reason he traveled back in time was so he could see the painting the Aunt was restoring because it doesn't exist in the future.
Main girl doesn't know what she wants to do with her life, until the end of the movie after her experience, just like her aunt described her experience.
If you haven't gotten it yet, the underlying plot is that Orange hair future guy is fucking time traveling forward in time, making girls who don't know what the fuck to do with their lives fall in love with him, after which he manipulates them into becoming the next generation that will continue to restore the painting, until eventually the painting will exist in his time.
So yeah, tl;dr: Orange hair 'love interest is basically a giant time hopping conman manipulating women throughout the ages.

I don't think I've ever cried from a cartoon since it's too short for me to care and get involved with them since they tend to revolve around some comedy.

I remember seeing Everything Will Be OK when it premiered as part of The Animation Show all the way back in 2007 so I was thrilled when I found out the feature was finished.

This scene - the moment where Bill start's repeating his routine and you realize the treatment failed, that he's never going to get better, and that he'll slowly lose his memory and faculties piece by piece until the day he finally dies...

...my grandmother had Alzheimer's for the last few years of her life. Most days she couldn't remember where she was, who I was, she'd forget basic things or repeat stuff she'd just done. Her heart finally gave out and she passed away in her sleep about a month before It's Such A Beautiful Day came out.

When this scene came up I wept so hard I almost couldn't finish the movie.

Bojack is actually a shitty person to EVERYONE 90% of the time. He just wants her to like him because she's the ghost writer of his autobiography and has been spending a lot of time with him. So he's hoping that maybe she sees some good in him that he doesn't see in himself.

A bunch of fish-farm fish play dead to try and extend their lives as long as they can
A wild-caught mackerel comes in and keeps trying to escape and tells them all how amazing the ocean is
There's this old Flounder who really doesn't like her and he hides in the filter grate under the tank

A little fish agrees with Padak (the mackerel) and tries to hop into the spider crab tank to ask them to break their tank and ends up getting torn apart

At the end of the movie, the flounder leaves his hiding place to chase Padak around because he blames her for the little fish dying and gets caught and brought into the restaurant. Just before he gets his head chopped off, the customers change their minds and decide they want mackerel instead.

Padak becomes sushi and a few days later, the flounder escapes and gets into the ocean

Finding Nemo meets Watership Down basically

It's not the best cartoon ever, made a number of big blunders, but I feel like the rest of it is interesting and funny enough to put up with and there are some incredibly crafted episodes in the show. If anything it's interesting to watch and see what every other big current show was partly inspired by (for better or for worse).

Lots of people think it got shit as time went on and to some degree I agree but I still like it. If you're gonna go through with it I don't think it's one of those shows where it becomes shit at season X, it varies by person to person. Watch until you just aren't feeling it anymore, which might end up never happening.
