One book has a non-linear storyline in which a master of keikakus consistently makes his own life and the lives of the ones around him worse because, surprise surprise, his actions have consequences.

The other book is simple in its storyline and tells the story of a dumb brick that doesn't think before punching her way to success while everyone bow down to kiss her ass.

If a person doesn't like one, sure will like the other.

There may be multiple layers, but there's nothing at the center. Rose decided to be Ravager again because a relatively insane dictator she'd never met before convinced her to in two pages. And even with the super keikaku of Deathstroke most likely being behind it the take away is just that Deathstroke might actually care for his daughter, which has already been well established and isn't that interesting when everything else is so ambiguous. This book has just been "Deathstroke is a dick, wait maybe he's not" and people fighting/talking about costumes.
