kinda like ore instead of watashi/boku in japanese

I think it's obvious the name Aku has more to do with the japanese evil spirit Akuma, which is literally described as having flaming head/eyes. The fact that he sounds like he's referring to himself with a Malay pronoun is just a pleasant coincidence.

I agree that the Blue Kitty is a definitely a nod to Sulley though. In fact there's another scene in TS3 where you can see his fur color on a Toilet Seat.
