Is he right, /co/mrades? Do you have a better idea? Who would you cast?

F4 movie general. inb4 moviebobiscucksupreme

I'm not clicking on that link. Give us a green text synopsis you shill fuck.
>>
Movie blob is never right.

the guy basically want a first avenger movie with the fantastic four in the 60's instead of the WWII, that would be the introduction and from there make a time travel and start the movie in the present day. is not a bad idea, will be that or something with the multiverse concept if we see them in the future
>>
>>92029551
>time travel

haven't we been time traveled to death with the x-men movies?
>>
>>92029551
I've agreed with the idea of time travel shunting them forward for a while now. I don't believe I first heard it from Bob, but it resonates with me.
>>
>>92029581
to the past like terminator in DOFP, that will be to the future, like alien or the winter soldier
>>
>>92029581
Yeah one time travel movie is a lot
>>
>>92027723
>Bob 'gas those who insult women in video games' Chipman
>ever right
>>
>>92029551
forgot to say that the guy want Jon Hamm in the role of Mr Fantastic, which is cool I think
>>
>>92029755
I should've rephrased that, I meant going back to different eras, as well. anon mentioned it taking place in WWII then going to present day. we already did a similar thing with First Class taking place in the cold war era. and I haven't seen Apocalypse but I'm aware that movie takes place in the 80s or something
>>
>>92029786
Fuck off Bob
>>
His idea is good but we've heard it here before. I think he even admits that he got it from other places and that the idea has been around the internet for a while
>>
>>92029581
>>92029586
I wouldn't necessarily do "time travel" so much as a relativistic-speed space travel. Basically, in the 60's, the FF disappear into space. Whoops. Sixty years later, they're back!
>>
>>92030085
I dunno. I think it would just seem really convenient they pop up perfectly at present day where all the current hero teams just formed.
>>
>>92027723
I love the FF and hated FOX's treatment, but I REALLY don't want MCU to get their hands on them.

>Everyone and their mother says "rambling nonsense" humor that has no actual punchline
>Johnny goes full retard
>Random moments of intended drama that have zero weight since everything around it is played like a Seth Rogan comedy without the weed
>The villains, one of the best rogues galleries in comics, will be insanely one note and will die instantly
>Muh obnoxious Avengers tie ins

I was on board with the MCU until Phase II (minus Winter Soldier). It's fucking milktoast garbage now.
>>
>>92029551
That sounds unnecessarily stupid. Use that time to show them as explorers instead.
>>
the biggest problem’s with fox’s F4 attempts is that they keep forgetting why the fantastic four is fantastic: it’s not their powers, it’s the way the approach a world which is full of the unknown and constantly changing. The only way to make the fantastic four work is to show us that they live in a world that is fantastic without them. The cover to the very first issue of fantastic four tells you this - that monster they fought isn’t connected to their origin, it existed before them.
>>
>>92029551
Did he get this idea from /co/? cause this has been talked about since the beginning of the MCU here.
>>
>>92030305
This. They simply are cogs in a machine of underground monsters, underwater civilizations, cosmic gods, outer-dimensional warlords, intergalactic shape-shifters, and so on. Their world is as fantastic as they are. They aren't superheroes, they're explorers.
>>
>>92030345
He says in the video that it's not even a new theory and it's been passed around the internet from way back

>Robert 'MovieBlob' Chipman
>Opinions worth hearing

If it's even half decent he's just parroting what he heard elsewhere

>They aren't superheroes, they're explorers
I've only read Waid and Hickman: The post.
They are definitely superheroes. They say at the end of issue 1 that they are sworn to defend justice. Kill yourself.
