These are the 4 main robins. Tim Drake's gf Stephanie Brown was Robin for a little bit, but died and came back and became Batgirl but I don't think that stuck in the New 52 so now she's never been Robin.

No, it really REALLY isn't. Bruce and Dick are the way they are because when you measure them up to Darksied or Trigon, being good at Karate and having fancy weapons doesn't matter. They do their bullshit because of the fact that they know that realistically, even with that most of the time it might not be enough. Compared to the fights you go up against as a super hero, being an heir to ANY of that means nothing.

And the real shit is the realization that that's actually closer to normal on a global scale than any random mugger, because of the fact that there are so many pocket dimensions and alien worlds with their own crazy warlords who want to kill everything. The fact is that Batman and company can do NOTHING about it and they're forced to rely on other heroes. Fuck, even when Doctor Gotham tried shit they didn't even call Bruce because he would have been utterly useless in his own city. Even a D lister like Blue Devil is worth more in a serious fight on that scale than Batman.

If you want to develop Damien Wayne, have him actually acknowledge that his limits, and his fathers limits, are so far below what is so often necessary, that everything he's built towards is like a baby training to fight a rabid jackal.

In all honesty I liked her better as Spoiler. She was a screwup, but it was clearly her own thing and she was doing it for her own reasons. It added an interesting dynamic where Tim was Bruce's sidekick, but Steph was Tim's sidekick. She was low on the totem pole, but it made sense for her character because she was starting from zero and not leaning on anyone's legacy. When she took up the title of Batgirl way later it was too tied into Batman Inc. and she was leaning too heavily on Bruce and his stuff as a crutch.
