What did y'all think of this crossover?
For the most part, I enjoyed it, liked the redesigned New Gods, it had some good character moments and the plot was an interesting idea.
On the other hand, the New Gods were massively overpowered. I could accept it, because they are supposed to be gods after all BUT in Batman & Robin, which ran concurrently, Bruce soloed Apokolips. It seemed ridiculous how stronger the New Gods were than Darkseid's forces.
And the quality was very inconsistent, since it ran in five ongoings.

I understand that they were both being manipulated by the Star Sapphire powers, but I still think Sora got a pretty raw deal with that. She say Kyle in the magic crystal, and Kyle saw Jade, who was dead, then lied to Sora about it.

If that new villain is their kid, then I can see them intentionally not getting back together to prevent him from happening. That villain is totally Sora's kid, but who knows who the father is at this point.

With Rebirth we seem to be going back to classic couples. Kyle and Carol seems to be quietly being swept away. That's for the best. I expect her to get back with Hal sooner than later.
