Some anon had a bunch of VHS rips on his computer and he's currently ripping them all.
Soon other anons shared MEGAs of cartoon TV broadcasts as well. Anyway does anyone have VHS rips they want to share?
There are a lot of MEGAs in this old thread so make sure to keep sharing the urls before it goes away >>91905345

Bump for worthy cause
Hit me an adjective
How does one rip a VHS anyway, do you require some sort of transfer deck or can you pull right from a VCR using the right cables or whatever? I've got a couple old tapes I wouldn't mind ripping if I were able, assuming anything on them was worth the effort. I think one of them is a succession of DBZ episodes with the end of the tape being an hour or two of late night CN from '98 or '99. Also have a tape that's several successive nights of TechTV's anime saturdays they used to do, with several episodes of Lain (though not in order for some reason), that's gotta be from '02 or so.
I uploaded a few of the broadcasts to Archive.org

More anons should do this. So far none of the broadcasts on this site have been removed.

You buy a VHS ripping device.
>>92004673
I've been converting old home movies to digital.
Idk if it's the BEST method, but I've just been hooking up a VCR to a Happauge HD PVR and that does the trick.

You get a capture card with composite or S-Video inputs (there are very cheap ones out there, no reason to go for overpriced shit like anon above posted), you connect your VHS player to the card instead of the TV, then play the footage and record it into a movie file on your pc using one of 100 adequate programs.

This kind of stuff should be posted on MySpleen if it's not in the process of that already.
>>92004673
You could use a dvd recorder with a vcr plugged into it and then rip the disc.

How about this chinkshit that shows up on ebay? Looks to be about $6.
>>92004560
>>92005200
It's only 6 dollars so I say go for it.
Once you get it tell us if it works or not.
>>92005413
Assuming it doesn't get stolen by pirates or lost in a typhoon, it'll arrive in a month or so. Checked out a couple reviews on aliexpress for the same product and most seemed positive, so we'll see.
>>92005030
Yeah I want to use MySpleen but I need a HDD to save the stuff that I want to download there.

Why another thread? the other one is still good.
regardless,
http://www.mediafire.com/file/ws3ab2rrx11v7qm/Cartoon+Network+City+-+The+Nearly+Complete+Bumper+Collection.mp4
this is a now deleted youtube video that is an hour and a half long with many different CN bumpers that the creator had been compiling.

I didn't know there was another thread at the time.

The old thread is dead.
