I didn't want Scarecrow nor do I want Rorschach either. I view Constantine as a similarly idiotic choice for a character spot. Out of the roster, I'd cut Joker, Scarecrow, and Bane, at this point, and replace with 3 more diverse choices which expand not only the Injustice universe, but the exposure people get to DC properties. If Constantine gets in, that's fine, another DC character, but don't try adapting a guy who doesn't ever fight, to a fighting game; it'll just cause casuals to believe Constantine is more like the movie portrayal than the Vertigo titles.

But then again, in the latest animated flick and Justice League Action cartoon, he's exactly that way, so I guess who really cares anymore right?

We know The Joker will never not be in a game; that's the problem. I think, most everyone at this point, is just a little burnt out on The Joker. He's just been in so much media lately that his charm isn't what it used to be. If the characters aren't somewhat in line with how they are depicted in the comics, then it nullifies the point of using the properties in the first place. At that point, it may as well be an original IP.

Constantine is poor choice because he rarely engages in full frontal assaults with his enemies which is whole point of fighting games. Even in the Injustice continuity his motivations are clear and he achieved his goal. He has no reason to get involved in the war between Superman and Batman and most likely doesn't care about what's happening with Brainiac or Darksied.

Yeah but Adam is more about lightning which I realize isn't a huge distinction but it leads to major differences in how they would approach designing a character. Gear is stat boosts, but I can't remember if the variations are tied to gear or not. I know gear can change traits and variations on special moves do exist.
If you're talking about Volnutt in particular, then it varies but the left hand parts are the only ones that affect his attacks. The other armor pieces are either for stats or new abilities.
