The lamest thing to complain about.

Most of the time this happens, it's not some ordinary fuck on a street corner, it's some well trained nigh-superhuman. That's the entire point of showing their badass.

Now, if your complaint lies in aspects of this trope like being untouchable or withstanding a mortar or tank shell like it's a plastic cup, MAYBE I'll take exception to that. Maybe. It depends on the character and series but if you have a character sustain a few blows along the way before claiming victory, at least it's more believable and satisfying.

I might agree that making an army seem like chumps is either bad writing, an insult to servicemen or an established power/skill gap, but it's really about execution, not the trope in on itself.
