Which character can you relate to the most as an adult?
Tito Dick
>inb4 Ronnie from Whomp!
>My first name is Andrew, last name is related to French
>My personality is equal parts of Andy and Kevin
>I'm a artist like Andy
>Sadly I don't have a Jim or a Posey
How kafkaesque

I'm afraid to read that thing. I've been putting it off for some time and will continue to do so.
>>91948276
If you're putting it off because you're afraid of seeing too much of yourself in it, do you really expect to be beyond that by the time you do read it?
>>91948302
What book is that
>>91948344
Lil Depressed Boy
>>91948302
Not at all, in fact I will probably much worse when I get to it.
>>91947771
Andrew Surrender? Rather obtuse name if you tell me.
Janitors.

Nothing like realizing your life is over before you're even 30 because you're a lazy idiot with no friends.
>>91948190
>turned 30 18 days ago.
>Wizard

i'm concerned.

Isn't it grand.

cartoon name?
>28
>graduate
>job, money, own place, the whole shebang
>no gf
Whichever character is relatively successful but suffers from extreme loneliness.
Working in tv has made me become these guys to all news anchors. more moltar then zorach
>>91946558
none
cartoon characters go outside because a show about a person that willingly secludes himself every chance he gets and spends most of his time angry wouldnt be good
>>91946558
It's funny, Andy was who I wanted to be when I became an adult. I remember watching every episode of Mission Hill and seeing the way he lived and wanting to live that life, to be a cartoonist who lived in a sweet apartment and lazed about all day.
It wasn't until I became an adult when I finally understood what the second unemployment episode was actually trying to convey .
>>91946558
>>91953597
Oh Andy, I should not be able to relate to you so much, failing cartoonist, unemployment stints, and all. Shit, I'm drinking as I post this.
In the end, though, you can't hate Andy French, and I've got some friends, so it's not too bad at all.
>>91946558
>someday in the near future robots will take most jobs and being unemployed will become the norm
>two days later they will come up with rotobs to stop the suicide epidemic by killing suicidal people
its just a matter of time
>>91953170
I put off watching this until recently and I definitely connect a lot. I'm the Mordecai to my friend's Rigby. I haven't gotten to the relationship stuff yet, but does me having a pretty solid and healthy relationship with my gf disqualify me as a Mordecai?
>>91953749
there is a reason why mission hill doesnt take place when andy is in his late 30s anon
>>91953828
Nor did all that shit happening to me, nor am I even currently in my late thirties.
Close, though.
>>91953783
>healthy relationship with my gf
yeah, that pretty much is the biggest issue with Regular Show. It becomes Mordecai is a cuck the show.
I wonder if Mission Hill has any chance of being revived, and would it even work in this day and age or is it too 90s?
>>91954034
It would never work today. It would have to be changed so much it wouldn't even be itself anymore.
What would even qualify as a bohemian lifestyle anymore?
>>91954100
>What would even qualify as a bohemian lifestyle anymore?
I don't think anything can, honestly. Andy's lifestyle these days would be considered hipster.
>>91954302
Jim was totally a Hipster. Down to "I liked it before it was cool" fads.
Andy was more just a pretentious bum but ultimately not as dedicated to being a Hipster as Jim.
I'd say a lot of the show works in a modern context, just change around the aesthetics. The issue is probably more most people wouldn't like looking at the stereotypes it makes fun of.
>>91955551
Some character would need to be updated, Kevin is a good example he would need to be modernized a bit, but most should be fine.
>>91955551
I listen to Marilyn Manson, but I obey Rush Limbaugh.
>>91954100
>What would even qualify as a bohemian lifestyle anymore?
an alchoholic stoner who wears thrift-shop suits and DJ's at illegal drug raves
the bizarre lovechild of Mackelmore, Bruno Mars, and S3RL
>>91957992
What about Kevin needs to be updated.
Sheltered Autist seems like it'd carry over just fine.
not /co/ related but this
>>91946558
As a kid I related to Rorschach.
Now I relate to Ozymandias.
>>91953544
its not a cartoon, but I recommend the Nero Wolfe Mysteries. Maury Chaykin, Timothy Hutton, fun stuff.
>>91951381
I think everyone grew up to be Squidward.
>>91959211
Unless their Chads like Squilliam.
Man Spongebob was prophetic with it's cast.
Spongebob was the normie who enjoyed his job.
Patrick is the NEET.
Mr Krabs is the jew boss who yells at you all the time.
Plankton is an advanced robot who even has a virtual waifu.
Sandy and Pearl would be feminists of course.
>>91953240
I'm in the same boat, anon. Successful but no one to share it with. I also can't think of any character like that.
>>91958394
Yeah but what he's nerdy about would change some.
>>91962708
Would he like traps?
I'm pretty much gimpy but instead of being a genius programmer I'm a mediocre at best cartoonist

At first by accident but then on purpose

C'mon /co/, you're slipping
Not /co/ but after finishing Night In The Woods lately I related almost a bit too much to the main cast. There really isn't a better "early 20's washout" simulator in my experience.
>>91951835
Go back to school in something engineering related. Be prepared to move for work and you'll find something. I dropped out and went back to school. I'm finishing my Master's at 28 and I got a good job lined up. My one friend went to school and finished at 33 and got a good job in Austin.
Things can happen.
Except I don't even have the motivation to play vidya anymore.
>>91968440
I'm gonna still try and make this art thing work.
I just need to consistently push myself and not let despair seep in.
can't think of many literal autists so we'll go with this guy
>>91968590
I would say have a backup as well. Some trade or skill that can pay the bills. It's a hard balancing act, but I've found having money to support myself makes me more motivated to actually do my hobbies. Even if I have less time overall because I work, I actually spend more time in my hobbies because I am in a better headspace.
it's almost scary
>>91968532

Sounds like a smart idea I had a decade ago and fucked that up. I don't even know where to start when looking at a trade.
>>91968824
The point is he's a loser with no life.
>>91968995
How is he a loser? He basically took over a whole online world to an extent even the creators couldn't do shit about it.
>>91969163
It was just a game bro.

I was never a huge Pokemon "fan" but my friend and I watched it all the time "ironically" or so we told ourself and we fucking loved Wobbafet, it was like he was taking the piss out of the whole show.
>>91968995
I started at community college. Cost me 1000$ a semester so I paid it in full from my minimum wage job. Maybe do art commissions and take welding programming and art classes or something.

I can't think of an adult /co/ character I relate to, so Yotsuba will have to be /co/ enough.
Yeah this is truly an "adult" show in the sense that it didn't became truly relatable till I was in my mid 20s.

JoJo, what the hell does your stand even do? Because it looks like to me your just trying to steal my damn cigarettes.
>>91971704
Ironically that deluded me into thinking getting something like the gig Jim was pushing on Andy was easy.
I guess the fact it was totally do to nepotism went totally over my head.
>>91971730
I'm telling you Frylock, gimme like six- make that seven more of these thing and then I'll show you my stand. I- I need to ingest enough smoke to exhale its form though, as customary for all stand users.

Bet you're jealous with my virile body and both my many abilities. Yeah, feel it just course straight through you. Mmmm. Wish I could drink your tears of anguish at your situation.

>thinking "are they making fun of me because I'm fat?"
Turns out the guy I was talking to was Justin Beiber here on tour and they were taking pictures/videos of him. Had no idea until these deranged lurking women chased him out of the restaurant.
