You can't. Her whole appeal was that she was a naive innocent street level supergirl whose new to the superhero community. Now she's been on the Avengers, teamed up with everyone, helped partake in a civil war and a Inhuman war, and watched a man (Banner) brutally murdered in front of her. You can't go back to step one after that. It's the same with trying to make Babs hip and innocent after the the shit she's been through.
