There was a Q&A post about this a while back. The particular class of glamour he's using creates an illusion specific to each observer based on how they perceive him (check out that scene with Bastion doing roadside medicine earlier), and fails if the viewer is consciously aware of the deception and chooses to look past it.

In this case, we're seeing him how Sette sees him. After her 24 hours spent following live Duane around in his memories and then goading him into improving the glamour, her mind is able to create a lifelike image of his face when the spell is up. It's a symbolic parallel to her being confronted with and then accepting the fact that Duane isn't just a plod.

The style they use could work with Ashleys especially if she story boarded the whole thing which she is EASILY capable of doing, her art skills are on the level of (or better) than your average slave animator who literately begs fans to mail them food. So Trigger would basically be doing motion frames, the way Disney out sources their motion frames. VAs would be the big expense, you would have to convince the studio to get English VAs if you wanted them and there are only like half a dozen of them.

Unless Ashley had a volunteer English VA contest, not a impossible idea if you think about it.

If you combine the previous kickstarters and Paetron, we have easily raised a quarter million bucks for Unsounded. Add in the current total and we are well over $300,000.

$300K-$450K for a unsounded feature is not beyond our reach. Logically a feature length anime would be book one, assuming it was well received (it will be) then subsequent kickstarters would require LESS money as the studio would be willing to devote more of it's own resources to the project.
