Side from the nose being a different style, everything you do is on model, just with different proportions.

If the shape looks off, don't be afraid to use the Liquefy tool to move things around. That's really all I did. Just remember to make back ups and Save the meshes. That will let you re-apply if something needs to be adjusted on the original.

Or you could temporarily flatten a group, morph it and save the mesh, then reapply the the mesh to each layer or mask.

Anyway I made those screen shots years ago. Before any web rips came out. As far as I know aside from season 3, the rest of the seasons were only available in 16:9 480p. Never seen any 1080p of season 1 since they left a lot of animation errors outside the visible 4:3 area.

Its not so much laziness. The original animation pads extra on all sides. So its possible to remaster in a different aspect ratio, When they animated it, the intention was more aimed for 4:3.

Its actually possible for them to remaster again with more cropping to cut out the errors but then you might get less that what was in 4:3, only at a higher resolution.

I know of two HD sources for season 1:
1. A 720p TVRip from Toonami, obviously with a logo, but incredibly crisp and clear, definitely HD
2. A logoless 1080p WEBRip from Shomi, with pretty bad bitrate, but almost certainly not upscaled by anyone (unless it was Shomi itself)

This may not be Holy Grail tier, but I'd have thought genuine 1080p would have been ripped by now.
Of course itunes refuses to give me any other info than "HD :^)" so for all we know, that could be 720p upscales they're trying to pass of as proper HD episodes.
