Wasn't it implied that Cap and Punisher were just abducted? It's been a while since I played it but Van Rokel was out to gain an army of super people, and it shows the Hulk getting beaten but Cap disappeared in the middle of a fight and Punishers shirt and weapons were found on their own so it'd make more sense that he was capturing people, but maybe I'm wrong.

Marvel Nemesis was really bad, with 90's-tier edgy characters, mediocre Marvel roster and shit gameplay. And the tie-in comic is one of the worst comics Marvel ever published, with studid plot and characters and inconsistent art.
