Ordinarily my response to this kind of news would be "oh well if them having more time to work on it results in a better movie, then I don't mind waiting." But as of the new CG film era, I kind of get the impression that a lot of major changes can be made on the spot in a short amount of time for these movies, and multiple revisions getting further and further away from the original concept generally seems to hurt them more than help them. So this time my reaction is just that this is bullshit.

It followed Nick as he set up a clandestine amusement park where predators could have fun without their shock collars until Judy finds the operation and eventually gets it shut down.

That's only the first half/third of the original version with the two characters, though. Dunno what the fuck happened afterwards or who the villain was.

I don't think Disney's animation film studios are trying to appeal to men. That's what they bought Marvel and Star Wars for. I think the goal of movies like Tangled, Zootopia, Moana and Gigantic is to make as much money as possible from little girls while also making them in such a way that if young boy children go see them their peers won't make fun of them for being faggots, so they too can spend money on the franchises and their dads won't have any problem with worrying about raising them to be queer because they saw a movie about a princess.
