Jackie...would probably be more useful than Janna at least. In BBtBC Janna was easily overwhelmed by Ludo's rats, while Jackie beat the shit out of them. Granted Jackie had the element of surprise, but it's still a better showing than Janna.

Seems that we're simply getting a bigger core cast. Janna had 9 non-cameo episodes in S2 (5 of which she had a significant role in), Tom had 3 (2 of them being focus episodes for him) and Kelly had (none of which had her as a main focus).

Jackie had 5 non-cameo S2 episodes, all of which focused heavily on her. Intro or no intro, she's going to remain relevant in S3. There's plenty of reasons for her to not be in the "Avengers Assemble" group shot that don't involve being written out of the story. Buff Frog isn't in the shot even, and between a setting shift to Mewni AND him being the only character other than Star, Marco and Ludo to get his own solo episode, he's obviously going to be back for S3. Don't read too much into the intro.

Imagine them going to some dance on a double date. Star shows up in a dress similar to what she wore to the BMB, lovely but not too much. Marco wears a nice suit, looking good.
And Jackie and Tom both turn up in dazzling red carpet black tie tier attire

The date is fun at first but Tom's done the planning and it's melt your teeth romantic, there's flaming roses and grumpy demons in livery playing violins and shit, and Star and Marco both act a bit too silly for the scene but Jackie fucking loves it

Tom takes Jackie dancing and actually twirls her in the air and they look like some goddamn perfume commercial, and Marco whispers "let's get out of here" and they sneak out to goof off on their own, it's a perfect night

That could happen, it could also not happen. We can't say what will or won't happen as of yet. We can guess and speculate, sure, but trying to suggest anything will be set in stone based on your interpretation of events is a bit much.

What we can state is that if there is going to be a team dynamic in season 3 then it makes sense for members of the team to interact more frequently than they currently do, even if that's currently not at all. They may also interact with people outside of the group, but we can't point to anything yet that would suggest that'd be the case, whilst we supposedly have a description of the intro with this new group. It's nothing concrete or conclusive, but it's something to point towards to guide speculation.

That being said, there's easily ways they could make these secondary character interactions work or not work. Tom could enjoy her antics and trickster nature, he could also dislike it. As too could he find Jackie boring, or enjoy her levelheadedness. There's far too many ways that events could unfold right now to state anything with surety.

What I do think we can say now though at least is that the crew, who like both Janna and Tom as individual characters, could understandably enjoy the two interacting and make that a thing which happens, it's too early to write off such an interaction being a thing in season 3.

Star at least tries to fix things when she realizes she hurt someone, but Janna actively tries to hurt others for fun. Janna is too far for Marco, and probably def too far for Tom.

Tom's got the anger in his blood. It's unlikely he'd ever become as chill as someone like Star or Jackie to be able to withstand Janna. I don't think he's the type to react well to persistent ridiculing and needling, and I don't think Janna can not needle and ridicule

Well you're entitled to think it may not work, but you've got to at least understand that the possibility that they could mesh exists.

Tom could approach her from a different angle than other characters do, given he himself is a different character. Although, he could be like Star in that he'd enjoy the hi-jinks she'd get up to, who's to say she'd pull them on him? She doesn't really pull tricks on Star after the initial Mayor of detention one. Marco seems to be her preferential target, possibly due to her potential crush on him, or perhaps his reactions or even just the ease of it all. That may not be the case with Tom, that's one way they could approach the two interacting, particularly with Marco involved, you've got to admit that it could happen, even if you wouldn't enjoy it.

I don't know anymore what direction the show is going to take. Star learning to deal with not having her way in terms of relationships would do wonders for her character development. She's done so much learning in S2. Seems like a natural progression into S3.
I can't make a case for Marco changing how he feels anymore. Sure he cares about Star but he's got Jackie already. I want Marco to be happy just as much as I want Star to be happy.
And Marco's already pretty happy. Jackie's a really cool character.
Starco is cute and perfect and all that but really, Marco is already happy. And that's just as important as Star's happiness is.

It's a pretty easy situation to sort out, the difficulty lies in sorting it out with no one getting hurt. However, is that really the approach that one would take? It's both realistic and meaningful for people to end up getting hurt due to relationship woes in teenage years and I could easily see Daron going down that route with the show. What comes more into question is the time frame of this all happening.

What can't be denied is that one of the main draws of the show is Star and Marco's interactions and it's a safe bet that the show, which still has 2 seasons to go, will endeavor to ensure that dynamic is kept intact. Jackie's role is much reduced in comparison, and whilst there are ways for Star's character to develop based on her feelings going unrequited it is more likely that they'll focus on other elements of her story so that the Star and Marco dynamic is left largely intact.

There's ways to have Marco's feelings transition over the course of the show to reflect the current situation and the difficulties it would involve, the same too for Star given the circumstances she's currently in plot wise.

Getting past 2 rounds isn't bad at all. I was genuinely surprised at how difficult most of the choices were.

If nothing else it'd be nice if the show gains some more attention as a result of the poll. Episode quality really fluctuates in Star vs. particularly early on in season 1 and 2 and that really digs into the number of people who are going to give it a chance.

That said I've also come to the realization that 4chan is definitely not the place to go searching for a fandom.
