Thing is, most of the "METAL" comics were made during what was considered to be an absolutely apocalyptic war.
Amidst other horrifying apocalyptic looking events, like the Spanish Flu. People didn't make these images because they thought it was cool. They made them because they were afraid.

Yeah but in this case, I'm prone to believe him just because future intervention in Syria is more or less impossible: Russia has made it a diplomatic nightmare, it would derail the war with ISIS, and it would almost certainly throw a wrench into Trump's plans for Korea, which he's signaled to be a much higher priority.

Hate to burst your bubble, but "no intervention at all" is simply not realistic. In the nuclear era, the US and others have to be active and vigiliant in ensuring that weapons of mass destruction stay out of the hands of irrational actors. We will always have to police the world, up until the day that nuclear weapons cease to exist. I continue to believe that the actions in Syria were carried out with a larger picture in mind, which we are now starting to see unfold in the Korean situation with the Norks.

Except those aren't Trump's promises. That's just /pol/ looking at what Trump offered and seeing what they wanted to see, because Trump is a really good salesman like that. He managed to convince /pol/ that he was the second coming of Hitler, while the rest of the country was also convinced that he wasn't.

This is a bad post because the dystopian fantasy that I'm pretty sure you don't actually want simply isn't happening. How is that a mark against Trump? It doesn't really work outside of /pol/.

Since the republican party is currently a house divided, yeah. The healthcare misadventure proved that.

Why should either form of censorship be an option? Why should it be illegal to post and talk about political comics on the comics board?

The republican party isn't seeing eye to eye on things but it's far more united than the democrats right now whom have practically fractured into two groups. Those who want to appeal to moderates and those who cult follow Bernie Sanders in hopes he turns the US into their socials utopia so they can get their gender studies degree for free

>Stop calling a different opinion an echochamber that's not how it works.

Come on, now. You are behaving like muslim apologists:

>This is just my opinion, see? There is no intent on my side to silence differing views!
>Hah! Too late, we the majority over here now, so shut up or beat it!

For years I thought that /pol/'s disdain of its reddit counterparts is overblown. Seems I was in the wrong.

>>91842472
autosaging isn't censorship, you mong

also this thread isn't talking about political comics outside of a few posts and you know it. If you want a political comics thread to last, you stick with old-school, Kelly, and Asay.
>>
>>91842472
Because politics has a bit of a way of shitting up a board.

Sort of like how, you don't talk about Politics in Thanksgiving during an election year in some families. Lord knows I've broken that rule and paid for it with my eardrums.

>autosaging isn't censorship
How is it not? It makes the threads harder to find and will automatically kill it before it naturally comes to an end. Sounds like censorship to me.
>>
>>91842522
Wtf are you even talking about? Shut up or beat it? Where the hell did I say that.

The best part is thet you do not even have to mark Muslims

they will do it themselves

Yeah, it's really bad on the democratic side. The Russia hysteria among the base is really hurting them, because they've concocted this wild impeachment fantasy that they have literally no hope of delivering on.

If you wanna see a shitshow, just look at Michael Tracey's mentions on twitter, the democratic meltdown is embarrassing.

Don't ask unless you really want to know. And if you really want to know, put yourself in the trash.

>>91842557
It's one thing to try to argue a bunch of political shit by posting cartoons, but there are fuckers here who aren't even bothering with that minimal effort. I mean, mods could have just moved the thread entirely to /pol/. This thread will get close enough to bump limit anyways.

at least /co/ is better than /pol/ for it

Lets do that next time. But describe it as metal, instead of going with the trump comic OP chose.

Probably best to wait a bit, and give the mods a break as well.
