Fucking love that show. First season was great, and although the later seasons became slightly more hit-or-miss, there's no reason why it shouldn't return. More emotional depth in the Doomstar Requiem than in everything written by Steven Moffat.

I actually enjoy the later seasons more because the animation is more on point but the early ones are great cause they're just hilarious incoherent fun, I think Brendan Small used to do improv sessions as the voices and just turn that mess into an episode. Doomstar Requiem is the best rock opera

I was going to re-enact Dr Rockso swaggering down the street at Christmastime, but when I image searched for that scene, I was disturbed by the accuracy of Rockso cosplayers.

I need to get off my bum and watch the rest of it. After all this time I have still only seen season one.

They screwed up in that season where the episodes were 30 mins. The characters began to flanderize (especially muderface) and the show really couldnt support the runtime. Should've axed that season, added a bit more plot, and made the rock opera the finale. there really was nowhere else to go from there.

>When you sell a TV show to a network that’s the deal that you make, it may seem like a deal with the devil, but for me I would do it the same way every time because that means that I got to make this show, I got to turn a bunch of people on to heavy metal, I got to make people laugh, and I got to make a whole bunch of music, whereas before, I was only making music for myself in my little room where I play guitar for myself. I got to put a whole audience together and make characters and comedy and a long story that people were interested in, and without Adult Swim giving me the money up front, it wouldn’t have happened. So even if this ending doesn’t seem so great, the whole story is a good one, it’s a positive story. After a break up, both parties like to exclaim about how nobody ever loved each other in the first place, but the truth is, this is a really good love story between me and Adult Swim. there’s nothing wrong with that, at some point a TV show has got to end, and I was ready for the show to end no matter what, but i wanted to tag on this little final ending story.

yeah they did a lot more storytelling that didnt neccesairily need to happen with the longer episodes for sure but there are a couple great moments in them

One of the best shows to come out of Adult Swim, really funny and had a lot of care put into it. I'm not much of a metal fan but I love the music on the show and think Brendon Small really grinded hard on this gem.

NO FUCK YOU. It only needed ONE MORE SEASON. This was adults swims most unique programs and they just fucking ended it. It had albums, tours, signature guitars, comic books, tab books. And they just decide to hell with all of that.

I'm sorry if I come off as a dick but I will be eternally mad that AS didn't give Metalocalypse the finale IT DESERVED.

And yeah Season 2 was my favorite season.
