This is because it's an industry in Canada. The Canadian Film Bureau gives tax credit and funding to basically anyone that makes anything that involves Canada, even if only somewhat tangentially. It results in a lot of people basically milking it to make shitty shows/movies, to the point that there's a general industry that's expanded to the point that companies can just buy low-quality animation for cheap.

I still find it interesting a "Thank god" line made it on a kid's show airing in America after 2000 or so, this weird obsession with censoring out god related things was happening frequently when this crossed into America.

I remember watching a few episodes on Youtube, YTV Direct uploaded them, I read the comments and they respond and joke around with the commenters, I thought that was cool.

Even the worst of American animation, from what I've seen. can match that of the worst of Canadian animation (compare some of /co/'s usual punching bags like SU, the PPG reboot or Family Guy, or shows like Coconut Fred, Butt-Ugly Martians or anything H-B made in the 70s with Johnny Test, TDI and most of Mainframe's shows outside Beast Wars).

Sure Canada's shit lasts far longer than America's, but from what I've seen, America produces more of it. But then that also raises questions like "What does TTG classify as?" Because that show is animated in my hometown, yet is aimed towards American audiences.
