Nah, Anon, it's just a transitionary page and it still tells a story regardless of how little dialogue there is. It shows how Annie's still deep in thought and the vast emptiness of the court emphasizes how much time she has to stew in her own head. That and now we know she's going to meet up with Kat and the ball can continue rolling. If she just showed up at Kat's work area, that would be a poor transition.

Does anyone else feel like GC's gotten slower in the past year or two?

It always moved at a fairly sedate pace, but these days it seems like the storytelling is wading through molasses. It's hard for me to keep interest from page to page.
