I always thought they were only archers because of the evil goop. I never thought they were actual archers.

Meh, they were all characters from the (some of) the most iconic episodes of the old series and most of them added next to nothing. It's fine that they cameo, but I felt like they gave each one far too much screen time for what they brought. At least Black Samurai added a little character and Demongo knew how to keep a clock.

wierdly enough the rave. I wasn't expecting it at all, and when i was marathoning the original series I had actually tried ecstacy for the first time and watched that episode on the peak. Having gone to a few raves made the episode kinda interesting to watch while rolling. so seeing a cameo of that a month or 2 later was kinda cool, even if it was alitte cheesy.

That whole segment was their version of an anthem, an anthem for Samurai Jack.

It's not supposed to sound like their usual shit they dance to because it's supposed to be part of their history.

It's an entire segment/mix/dance of its' own to commemorate the Samurai, hence "Samurai, Drop". You usually get "breather" moments in raves like this and they call it something similar to a "drop", where they "take a break" to wind down for a moment before they resume their usual rave mix.

Let's look at the options.

- Jack goes back and fixes the past. Time travel in SJ is a single, changeable timeline. Everyone he knew in the future is never born.
- Jack goes back and fixes the past. Time travel uses the many-worlds interpretation. An alternate timeline is created. The whole premise of the show, to "undo the future that is Aku" is shown to be a lie, because nothing can ever be undone.
- Jack doesn't go back in time. The many people that Aku slaughtered stay dead, but the many people who exist in the future get to keep on existing.

I think ultimately, the last option is the most likely one. The very premise of the show suggests that there's only one timeline. So Jack will have a revelation about what his quest ultimately means, and will either forsake that part of his quest and/or flat-out die in a noble sacrifice, so that the many people he's personally saved will keep on living.
