Season 4 started off pretty good, it's all the episodes after this one where the quality started declining from mixed to bad

They made the same mistake they make in every episode since the start of season 4 though: A problem solving plot. Spongebob used to be about setting a context for jokes, and playing out the jokes. Now it's about presenting a problem, and solving the problem, and maybe squeeze in jokes every few minutes when there's an opportunity.

I honestly thought the Spongebob went to shit after Season 3 to be a meme because I didn't watch that much of Spongebob to know which episodes came in which season. I started watching the latest season and Whirlybrains made me went to kill myself though.

But I just took a look at Season 4 and none of them were good. Krusty Towers gets a slight pass and Best Day Ever had an amazing song but that's it.

I think there's a few good ones in seasons 4: Fear of a Krabby Patty,The Lost Mattress, Krabs vs Plankton, Krusty Towers. A few other ones have good premises, but drag on without jokes for too long. Otherwise, a most of them starting from season 4 are complete bullshit. Just plot and character development, with bouts of the characters being their special kind of idiot every now and then. It completely forgets itself. And that episode specifically about King Neptune and his son? That was jumping the fucking shark.

No the last good spongebob episode was in S4, the one with the KK opening for 24 hours. I actually wanted to know exactly when the episodes started to fall off and it's a few episodes into the fourth season, right after the first movie.
