Mewni is underutilized and is the most interesting dimension we've seen outside of the Plains of Time, which can't exactly be a regular thing

I like the way the show mainly sticks to one dimension rather than traveling to bunch of barely sketched out one-off locations all the time, and if this season's going to be mostly Mewni rather than Earth I welcome that. We've seen a ton of Earth already

There's reason to assume they could both get along or dislike each other; they could alternately start off combative and grow to like each other with time. Who really knows what they'll do with Janna. If she is indeed joining them for their adventures they could have her utilizing her more morbid interests, or perhaps focus on her trickster skills. There's ways it could work and ways it could not work, we can't say anything conclusive until we've seen them actually interact. What, no comments about the Marcopoo scene discussion? I'm slightly surprised.

I still think that Hekapoo will be a big influence on how Star resolves her relationship with Marco - not only romantically, but also her responsibilites as Mewni royalty.

Having an interest doesn't mean she's an expert or proficient in something she's never directly interacted with. Star does have an interest in magic, she may have a piss poor approach to learning it but she clearly understands that advancing her knowledge of magic is important, even if she goes about it in her own way.

Marco is the kind of character who's struggling to not take the bait, but he's a lot chiller than Tom. Tom needs a support system to make it through daily life and throws shitfits when things don't go exactly according to his keikaku. He wouldn't be able to deal with Janna.

Also it's just shitty to intentionally bait him. He's really trying and has a badge with how many days he's managed to be anger free, it's important to him.

Baiting him for laughs would be like trying to get a recovering alcoholic or junkie to fail at trying to kick the habit just to see them struggle.
