Which is, ultimately, the biggest fault with the show post-revival: They made everyone an asshole, which means no one is likeable for more than a given scene, which means there is no long-term emotional connection to the characters. Seth could literally kill Chris in the next season premiere and no one would care after the following week's episode. Why should they? Chris is just as much of an asshole as his father, mother, brother, sister, pet, friends, and other assorted relatives. Who cries over an asshole getting what's coming to them? Nobody! Even the Griffins themselves would stop caring after a couple of episodes. Shit, Seth would probably have Meg piss on Chris's grave - while standing up.
