Age of Bronze - Veteran artist/writer Eric Shanowar's epic graphic retelling of the Greek legend of the Trojan war. Simply amazing in every respect. Meet Achilles, Agememnon, Ajax, Hector and all those other badass muthas.

there is a comic about the hundred year war. very nicely drawn and all that.

a foe inflicted with a potentially mortal injury may still be carried off and provided medical attention, and after a few days he's either dead or not
a foe inflicted with a sure-fire infected wound has to be carried off, and provided medical attention for way longer, probably at least a few weeks. thats a lot of your enemy's resources being consumed per victim. and in the meantime once they realize what is happening your foes are incredibly disheartened, as even a slight wound could condemn them to death from infection, so they are more likely to break formation and flee in terror

Louis Riel by Chester Brown is my favorite comic of all time but then again it was practically made for me. 19th century North American frontier? Check. It's about Christian revivalism? Yup. Main character of questionable mental health? Definitely. I love all that shit.
