The positions of the characters in panels 3-5 are mirrored, so it really fucks with readability. At first I thought Annie was looking at Parley and Smitty until I realized just now, looking at the page again, that she's looking to the right, off the side of the bridge.

This such a fucking stupid thought. Gunnerkrigg has always had fantastic pacing on a chapter by chapter basis. Sure it's fun to the weekly pages but it's obvious to anyone with 2 brain cells to rub together that Tom has always written for archival reading as opposed to serial. Give ahead and read theverything few pages of this chapter all in one go. Or all of last chapter in one fell swoop. It's well paced and tightly written.
