I think it might be related to Crisis. Barry became skelly in CoIE and became the lightning that gave him speed force. Now given the last Flash were we saw Professor Zoom one of two things happened. The button and mask caused new Thawne to become old Thawne then he rushed to Batman or old Thawne got slapped by a blue cock and sent his speed force to new Thawne overwriting him.
So depend if you think DC wasted that Zoom reveal in Flash
