Archie makes money making comics with their own IPs. They make far less producing your sad little fantasies of pixels having personalities and backstories, they got raped in court twice by salty ex-writers, and SEGA pulled the plug on the license.

Riverdale is a thing a TV network makes and pays for, not a comic book company.
