Except that's wrong.

People can find the audio codec, video codec, and resolution by downloading the file and checking using something like mkvinfo or ffprobe. But to do that, you have to waste quota on downloading the file.

They cannot find the release type, or the release group, unless they embedded that information in the mkv (they didn't, and most groups don't). The release type is important for determining quality (e.g. to avoid the cropping in iTunes WEB-DL), and the group is important if you already have a release group you trust.

I have to say I hadn't laughed so much watching AT for quite a while. Though my hopes of a happy ending for the Ice King are waning.

Let me put this another way.

Most of the people here would be fine with just DailyMotion or YouTube links. They don't care if the video is grainy/blocky or low-bitrate, they'll watch anything, because they don't know shit about where to get these episodes. They're either technologically incompetent or don't care about where they get it from, they're just happy to watch something even if it's potato-tier quality.

There's also a decent number of people though that give a shit about quality. The metadata in filenames indicate the quality without making people download the actual video, and also gives source information that would otherwise be unavailable (e.g. the release type and group, also indicators of quality). This metadata-in-the-filename convention is a standard that even public media torrent sites often follow (e.g. rarbg), and private media torrent sites practically mandate (some even mandate CRC32s).

Whoever owns the S8 link probably got the episodes from torrents or sites like Kametsu. Which means that, since those sites follow the metadata-in-the-filename standard, the owner of the S8 link just deleted them like a retard. It's not really his fault, he was likely just looking to re-host the videos, and didn't know shit about what any of that metadata meant because he didn't really care about quality.

But in deleting that metadata, it's going to make people who care about quality avoid downloading, because they have no info about the source. They're not really up a creek, since they're usually members of private trackers, or have accounts with sites like Kametsu. So they just get it through more direct means instead of a shitty re-hoster. But this could all be avoided if the S8 link owner wasn't retarded.

I mean he was still a mess, but usually what happens is Ice King takes part in the plot and then runs off when things get too intense or does an about face and does something dickish again

While in this he was there the whole way through and basically understood what he was doing instead of doing it for some reason that randomly gets revealed at the end, and he even comes back for Finn

Don't know if it was intentional but it works better and makes him more likeable, makes him feel more developed instead of some guy who always goes back to the status quo even though arguably he did

My theory is that once CN for sure announced however many seasons have been announced, Sugar layed out the groundwork and pushed a lot of her ideas back to round out the finally. Now we have her underlings writing episodes to fill the space in between major plot points and major character development episodes.

I think this is going to be the state of the show for the foreseeable future until it is finally canceled, then it might get good, then it will end.

Stakes had a way better song and things were more focused. Vampire King was also an AMAZING character in general. Also even though it was only one song, Everything Stays was way better than any of the songs in Elements.
But where Elements lacked focus and interesting characters, it certainly was better from a story perspective with nice balance between the rising and falling action. Cloudy was a fantastic episode for just finn and jake being bros and things being calm before the main event kicked in.

You're right though that both are still below Islands. That shit just had a perfect balance of everything.

There doesn't have to be a pecking order, Elements and Islands were both about the same in quality and I'm looking forward to what comes next.

Regular Show's finale pulled in about 1.35 mil. The series had no waifu or lesbian ships to pull it in, at least not ones teased by writers, and the waifufags (the vocal majority of most modern fandoms, along with gayshitters) hated how the female characters were treated. Minor viewers were alienated from the finale because the "In Space" setting introduction episodes had no advertising. More interested fans dropped it prior, and more I'm sure did when they "jumped the shark".

Adventure Time is ending soon, and where Regular Show had nothing, AT has everything. Will AT's series finale, if advertised decently (normal-tier like an average episode should), pull in about 3 mil.?

I kinda wish we get some actual confrontation between Marcy and Betty over the fate of Ice King in the last season.
