Superhero comics fucking suck, it is impossible to tell a truly brilliant story if you don't intend to every actually end it. Stories require a beginning, a middle, and an end, and superhero comics by their nature can't provide that. The only comics I've read that I can consider truly great are comics that ended and don't come back. Ex Machina (I know this is kind of a superhero comic, but when I say that I'm talking about your Batman, Spider-Man, shit that is designed to go on forever), Saga, Transmetropolitan, East of West, stuff that either has or intends to end. And the fact that this board is primarily capeshits never fails to sadden me. I was really hoping for an interesting board discussing interesting comics. But it's almost entirely just whatever the big two released last week.

From what I've seen, Star Vs. The Forces of Evil might be the worst cartoon in recent history.

Gumball is pretty bad but the mesh of styles is inventive. Loud House is bland enough to be a sleep aid, but at least the voice acting is professional. Stevie Galaxy is ugly and has bad voice acting but... well...I don't know, Garnet is okay?

But Star vs. is like they're not even trying to make a good product. Screechy voices, bad character designs, shit animation. Just...I don't understand how it was greenlit.

I think Jessica Jones is better than Daredevil. Daredevil is just boring, not very creative fight after fight strung together with boring plot (And Daredevil himself is just a side character in a story about rise and fall of autistic crime genius) while Jessica Jones actually has an interesting, superheroic plot, even if imperfectly realized.

Star vs The Forces of Evil is just as mediocre as any other contemporary cartoon, and is destined to share the same fate as Steven Universe and Adventure Time. The only reason it is currently popular is because people are so desperate for a mainstream LORE-ridden show they can enjoy unironically they are willing to ignore the show's mediocricity on the virtue that it's the lesser evil.

The superhero comic is the epitome of entertainment. The absolute pinnacle of humanity is encapsulated in it. Here, we truly know what it is to be a man. We finally arrived at truth. The superhero comic has lifted up mankind to its peak; without it, we would still be wandering, lost, unable to find our way or purpose. The superhero comic is both entertaining and inspiring.

Superman is a boring character adored by boring people. He's living proof of the fact that the old maxim that "you need to give characters flaws" is bullshit because there is no shortage of boring people who find pathos in cardboard.
