There are people who don't like it by appearance alone and there are other people who don't like it because it's nowhere near as surreal and beautiful as her personal work.

I'm a fan of Belly, but SCI doesn't look good.

It's more about how it looks. I think the design is cute, but it bothers me when stuff like perspective is screwed up like that. I'm not an artist for this to be considered an opinion worthy of respect, but I think it's kind of weird in a slightly unpleasant way.

Character design is just ok for me though.

Fair enough, this is quite different to the work she's known for, but you just have to take it as its own thing. I'm sure she'll incorporate her usual flair into it.
