Reminder that in Action comics that he said he wanted all the cherries. Puberty is going to be a nightmare for Clark and Lois.

This was pretty good, plot took a turn for the crazy which I liked.

I can see how Jon and Damian's "bantz" can get stale. Green Lanterns also played that up a lot in its first arc before settling down.

His dialogue is just so full of awkward exposition. Everyones a mouthpiece. And it just feels like he's given accolades more for his enthusiasm in explaining the ins-and-outs of his work. He really benefitted from being able to do little online interviews and podcasts to shed light on stuff that made his books seem more deep then they were.

his likability and that enthusiasm I think outshine the serious weaknesses in his writing. The batman rebirth issue had a VERY scott snyder moment when batmans working out on a ledge and it's super "suspenseful" for no reason. As if Bruce is actually going to slip and fall.

Yeah, maybe it ties into King's "bruce is suicidal" theme used later but it's just that over-abundance of melodrama that gets annoying.

What is it about Superman and Batman that always makes them such good friends? Aside from the fact that they're the faces of DC and thus it's most marketable to have them together. They have nothing in common aside from their moms' names. Is it just that they're such polar opposites that they actually balance each other out perfectly?
