All I want from this movie is Marvel's superman dying a tragic heroic death, Carol taking the mantle given, maybe at the mention of her "having wonderful potential", and her having her serious issues.

It's always the Kree Sentinel. Sad thing is they could have mostly done a movie version of that EMH episode and everyone would have been happy. Captain Marvel is there, sacrifice, transfer of powers, Carol was still a strong and independent woman who a bit of personality, and the costume was the best of both worlds for her first look along with her most famous look before this shit started
