Primer is a pretty damn fun movie that drops you in the middle of a whole bunch of weird time shit and forces you to unravel it on your own.

Stein's Gate is a visual novel that's more ANIME than I might like, but the characters all grow to be pretty likable (the MC starts off as a cringey shit head that nearly turned me off the game, but by the end is pretty amazing), and the plot is very engaging. The time travel mechanics themselves are pretty simple once explained, and a little hand waivey in parts, but it's more about dealing with the fallout than the actual act of time travel.

It gets okay notes on Tumblr. An actual Steven Universe artist is working on it with her, so the style ripoff has some reason to it.

The alien designs look kind of juvenile, and the dialogue feels forced. There are occasional flash-equivalents which are 20 seconds of great animation for momentous moments in the comic, but the plot wasn't compelling enough for me to keep following it after I caught up, especially since I caught up in the middle of a hiatus.

Strengths:
High page count, so there's a decent amount of content.
Clear Homestuck inspiration and occasional homages.
The animation is great when included.
Shelby likes emphasizing trauma and angst, so when the main character is in distress, the feeling is very well depicted.

Weaknesses:
Weak characters - they opened up with more emphasis on gender than character traits and that's all that stuck with me after reading. I think Tye likes action movies? I don't usually count forced diversity as a negative because who gives a fuck but one of the main characters does have vitiligo and it feels exceptionally forced.
Plot is more mysterious than compelling.
Like that other guy said, they spread out a single action over multiple pages. Very annoying. Maybe it's gotten better now, but it was consistent through my readthrough.
Shelby's last comic was shitty from start to finish so I don't anticipate this one getting any better.

Andrew Hussie is a self-loathing betacuck numale whose been emotionally castrated by Halftruth and literally castrated by IPGD. All of his friends and employees are SJWs who demonize men and it comes through in his writing of all male Homestuck characters been wimpy and emotionally broken and the female characters as strong independent women who don't need no man.

For fuck's sake, how hard is it to make a single episode of a 2D point and click adventure game? Telltale could make 3D episodes monthly back in 2006. And now that I think about it, why didn't Hussie go with Telltale? They made that Strong Bad game once, so they have at least some history of making games based off internet cartoons starting with the letters "Homest". And sure, they don't really make actual adventure games anymore, but if they took the job, they'd probably have to listen to whatever Hussie wanted to do.
