6teen thread?

The characters are better than they might seem at first glance. They seem to have started with stereotypes but then elaborated and tweaked them which makes all the difference.
For instance, Jen "the uptight overachiever", and Wyatt "the sophisticated one", are both still capable of youthful frivolity. Wyatt laughs at farts and a whole episode was about Jen realizing she was taking her bullshit part time job too seriously.
Normally, Jonesy's character stereotype would probably have him being slippery and dishonest but actually he clearly values his friendships very highly and always goes to efforts for his friends when they need it.
Jack looks disgusted
I kind of like how it outright uses contemporary references (they go to see the then-new Star Wars film in an episode) which turns it into a early 2000s period piece.
Caitlin is adorable and I'd break her cute little body in half with my dick.

It was fun, why can't we have more fun shows and comics.
It broke my heart when her snobby bitch-friend said they couldn't be friends anymore in the first episode and she meekly said "...what do you mean?"
Why is Lance at the mall and not piloting Voltron?

I liked the sow quite a bit. I liked it much better than Total Drama Island and its sequels. No character really stood out as my favorite over all, but I enjoyed the cast as a whole and their chemistry together as I remember it.
It wasn't actually a terribly well-made show, though. Too many times plots just grind to a halt and have no resolution in a dramatic or comedic sense. Kind of sloppy. It's Canadian.
They did valiantly strain against their limitations at times, though. Occasionally the characters would actually move their body parts out of the flat plain, requiring some special animation.
cute punky asian girl? yes please
>>91633549
The asian girl was pretty cute. But it was somewhat of a guilty pleasure.
>>91634068
She's kind of a bitch, really.
There was some shameless soapboxing in the bra episode where she said the efforts Caitlin was going to to attract a boy who liked big tits were absurd and that if he didn't like her it was "his problem".
The soapboxing is disgusting but at least it was totally genuine feminist complaining, meaning it was bullshit; going to efforts to attract people is normal and if Caitlin failed of course it'd be her problem, but one earlier episodes demonstrated she could deal with. It's quite unhelpful to tell her to be self-centered about it instead.
On top of it all this advice on romance is coming from a girl who'd never had a boyfriend and was so emotionally constipated there was a whole episode about her being unable to accept Caitlin because they hadn't known each other since kindergarten.
Caitlin just stared at her for a second and changed the subject.

i kno rite
Oh damn I remember this show, did it ever have any sort of ending?
There's more fanart for this than you might expect but some of it is pretty autistic.
>>91634236
Like almost all the canadian stuff almost never ends, and as i remember it almost all the episodes could be seen as an stand alone thing. Just a brief introduction to the characters and their circumstances. I think the very first episode dealt with the introduction Caitlin into their circle and his job in the lemon thing.
Was the show called 6teen cause there was 6 of them or because they were all 16
>>91634388
There was a little story-arc in the first season with Wyatt gaining and then losing his first girlfriend.
>>91634408
I don't think Cailtin turned 16 for a while.
>Think of the 6teen theme song
>Don't realize im actually thinking of the friends theme song
>No one told me life was gonna be this way
I was more drawn to Stoked because of its more developed character designs, but it was functionally the same show
Jude/Caitlin OTP
Best girl.
>>91633549
it's incredibly flawed and could have only been made in the early 2000s but i love it to death because it has no shame in being what it is

>Christian Potenza is in everything Fresh TV makes
>He's always typecasted as the surfer guy
>Fresh TV makes a show abouy surfers
>Christian Potenza nowhere to be seen

>>91634641
IIRC they brought him in for one episode, but yeah it's strange they brought back pretty much the entire 6teen cast except him.
>>91633862
ok I don't know what the fuck this thread is, but this concept art is actually much better than the actual animation
>>91634666
>Jen best girl
>posts Sam
Good taste, senpai
>>91633952
he wanted a baked pretzel.
>>91634675
With better production values and a non-shit writer this could've pretty good.Birch a CUTE
How are all these fuckers doing in their mid-twenties, /co/?
>Caitlin marries a rich man from a family long-known to hers
>Jen earns advanced degrees, can't find a job
>Wyatt earns advanced degrees, gets a job because he's black
>Jonesy has a successful career in sales or promotion
>Jude smokes weed
>Nikki farts
>>91634787
>Nikki moved to the most economically depressed area of Canada in the final episode
Is being unemployed trailer trash a thing in Canada?
>>91634787
>How are all these fuckers doing in their mid-twenties, /co/?
Better than me for sure.
There was an episode where we saw a thong right?
>>91634835
Don't worry, little girl.
You still have many years to find your way.
>>91633549
So, this is the best canada can come up with eh?
>>91634835
Did season 2 of that show ever come out?
>>91634195
Buddy, cute and asian gets me to the show, but the bitchyness takes me all the way home! Nikki to the end!
>>91634909
How do you like her fat ass?
>>91634902
Ages ago my man.
I mostly remember this show for the episode Jonsey auctions a date and it almost goes to a cowboy.
>>91634519
no goth/punk girl. looks like Caitlin ate Nikki.
>>91633815
This is exactly how they made TDIs characters, the same people who did 6teen did TDI.
>>91634941
The gay cowboy was a recurring background character. Surely a "Brokeback Mountain" joke.
>>91634932
on my face
>>91634628
The big thing about this show (for me) was how perfectly it captured the atmosphere of working in a resort or hospitality setting. There's little shit in there that probably wasn't intended as a joke for the preteen/teenager audience this show was aimed towards, but I found myself chuckling at because I had been in that exact same situation.
