Marvels
Spider-Man Blue
Punisher Max
Earth X.
Those four are usually the gateway drugs into the Marvel Universe.

Now. And I wanna read the older comics also.

HAHAHAHAA and Champions too, right? Don't forget about America either!

Amazing Spider-Man all the way up to Clone Saga. Then drop it.

The best older marvel storyline imo is Daredevil: Born Again. Miller at his very best

Nova needs sales badly
Uncanny Avengers (ending soon)

You forgot Spider-Man and Deadpool

The old stuff is what does it for me.
Giant Size X-Men #1- Uncanny X-Men 94-until you've had enough. My favorite arc is the Brood Saga, which runs on and off, from 154-167.
Amazing Spider-Man 1- until you have had enough. I stopped when Wolfman started writing. And picked it and up again for Stern.
Fantastic Four 1-102 these might seem a little clunky at first, but the charm of the FF is pretty hard to resist for more than a few issues. Best Doctor Doom Story FF 84-87
Non capes
Master of Kung Fu is bad ass.
As for horror, Werewolf By Night and Tomb of Dracula are both awesome throughout.
As a general rule, Kirby, Claremont and Doug Moench are almost always worth your time.

Just make sure you don't give them a cent while you do it. Marvel's dead, it all goes to D*sney the parasite.
I liked Nathan Edmondson's Punisher and Black Widow (fun, not spectacular tier)
Also enjoyed Cullen Bunn's Magneto
