My guess is that rounded eyes are easier to animate, since it's always changing from neutral to surprised

Shame they've decided to simplify them since the show puts so much effort in it's visual appeal and now they look kinda lifeless in comparison.
Can't imagine it was that much taxing on animation either. S2 had smoother animation overall tho and small details like their ears bouncing compared to later seasons.

It's okay. I'm a regular over at /wsg/, I'm just incredibly lazy.

The trick is to Convert the webm to a movie file that can be opened in Sony Vegas. Then you add a text layer that follows the motion track. Removing objects from videos that you did not create is rather difficult, but not impossible. I'm too lazy to do that though. Once you get the desired result, make the movie and then reconvert back into webm. Upload to 4chan and then take pride in something that most likely will never get traced back to you, but you see it posted all the time.
