The first Human Centipede wasn't even gruesome really. I heard the second one is the goriest of the three, but I still haven't seen it. The third one is hilariously mostly. It has some good gore moments, and the German doctor comes back as a different character.

If you want a different edgefag movie flavor, but with possibly more substance (since it's based on real events), there's Men Behind the Sun, from 1988. A story about Unit 731, complete with the use of real corpses for a couple of scenes, and a cat scene that was probably real animal torture/death.

Wake in Fright had a pretty brutal animal cruelty scene. It's not an exploitation movie, at least not by my standards. But anyway, it was filmed in the Australian outback and the director heard about some hunters going out at night to spotlight and hunt kangaroos, so they tagged along, and filmed the kangaroos getting shot and killed. Pretty sure they ate the kangaroos later.

It's actually a pretty good movie too. It's not even provocative by modern standards, aside from the kangaroo scene, but at the time, it caused quite a scene. Martin Scorsese saw it at a film festival I think, and he was shocked that two dudes had a very homoerotic scene that led to rape, which was of course cut away from, since it was the very early 70's.

It's actually got incredible animation and visuals. The characters are a nice mix of comfortable tropes and fleshed out. They unfold the plot and each individual backstory slowly but in a way that feela satisfying and earned. Nicely adapted to meet modern sensibilities but without feeling pandering. Good action, hints of a larger story and more complex universe... lots of good shit.

It makes me sad that people just talk about the cast fucking each other. There'a so much more there.

Probably not too long, honestly, especially if it's only imps commanding without Vader. An Eclipse class star destroyer is more evenly matched to Galra ships, because it has a main laser more comparable to the Galra ones.

If you throw in Vader though, as in he's on the actual Executor, and it's not just some random Executor class ship, then it changes slightly. Vader has Force hax, even if he is gimped compared to his Anakin days, and Galra commanders are just normal.
