Tactical droids don't usually fight themselves and tend to act more like backline generals than anything else. Yellow B1s are in the thick of fighting and calling the shots. Would be neat if their voices were the ones that updated players on battlefield happenings though.

My guess: Assaults are B1, officers are yellow B1, heavy are B2, and specialist is either Droidekas or BX-seres.

Too lazy to find a link but we got some news from non-streamed panels yesterday that announced a Leia YA novel by Gray, A Luke novel by Ken Liu, A Phasma novel by Delilah Dawson, and a Phasma comic miniseries by Kelly Thompson and Marco Checchetto. All of this is being published under a Journey to The Last Jedi publishing initiative similar to what we saw with TFA.

I personally wouldn't expect too much from the Marvel panel as it consists of only Soule, Noto, and the SW editor at Marvel. There might be some details that emerge about Soule's upcoming Vader ongoing but beyond that it's hard to imagine that we'll see any announcements given that the Phasma announcement was yesterday and Maul isn't far enough in yet to really warrant unveiling its replacement .

The real answer is that Return of the Jedi's run time was looking a little lean so the director and producer spitballed an elaborate rescue to make the prologue a little flashier and unpredictable.

They also spent A LOT of money on Jabba's palace and the Rancor scene so they were locked for those setpieces, so they were gonna get their money's worth from the sets.

It's no TCW, it's got worse animation and a much smaller scope and scale.

But its wayyy beyond something like Korra, which was actively fucking destructive. Rebels added to the canon, had some great moments and some fantastic scenes.

It'll be remembered positively, although with hindsight and considering whatever comes next there might be some concept of loss potential.

That's not entirely true, I remember around season 5, TCW was suddenly getting stupidly popular. Lots of marketing all over youtube too, I remember seeing all those Maul hype trailers, and the 100 episode celebration.

That's when I started to notice these Star Wars threads become a popular and permanent thing on /co/ too.

So in a way, it got cancelled at the best and worst time possible, right when its popularity was skyrocketing, and then suddenly no more episodes. Then it got put on Netflix with new episodes, which made it mass available to everyone, so people watched it out of the hype that was generating from season 5, and the backlash to its cancellation.

Luke is a jedi serving the republic and is told to bring them in, but is conflicted between following an order that will obviously backfire and breaking his code and doing something unpredictable.

Their antagonist is an original imperial trying to finish a half built Super Star Destroyer. He's achieving this by taxing and raiding every world on the outer rim not directly under new republic control, and making up for personnel losses by reactivating modded CIS droids to act as drones and ad hoc darktroopers.

Can't do it, wendig already screwed the pooch by saying every SSD was destroyed by Jaku except for Sheev's, which is accounted for, and the one that was stolen by that third gender mary sue.

But a half or even mostly done SSD would be permissable. It wouldn't be on the official register that was accounted for and you could try to modify it with additional shit for effect.

Rebels now has a lot to do in a very short period of time. I'm super excited for Rukh's inclusion, the return to Mandalore, and more development in regards to the greater Rebellion. The problem is, the show has 15 episodes to do not only this but to also bring closure to the stories of Ezra and Kanan at bare minimum alongside whatever else from the show they feel like they need to properly end. The hype for all of the cool shit we're getting just kinda feels dulled by what feels like a fairly abrupt end to the show.

BF2 on the other hand is a pleasant surprise. While we knew we were getting single player, what we've seen so far looks a lot more promising that what I would have predicted. Add to this multiple eras and a genuine sense that lessons have been learned from the first installment and you get a strong positive vibe.
