You have to keep in mind how bad things were leading up to that reveal at SDCC. You can't expect things to be instantly smoothed over by bringing a neglected character back. You have to show a willingness to change as well, which Marvel has shown how resistant they are for that.

Were you around when that was posted? Because of the release of MvC3 for /v/ and the MCU building up towards Avengers for everyone else there was a PL thread every two hours every day of the week that summer.

Once this dropped though it trickled off. It was like that kid in the playground meeting that guy in the comic book store.

The occasional battle shounen fan still tries to fish for small fry now and then before building up to the obvious intended targets but once they remember just how broken comics can get they bitch a bit and then scoot.
