How many times has Stockman died again? I lose count.

And I'm pretty sure that wasn't his final end either....
>>
>>91546917
Nah, he eventually became a brain in a jar

Jesus, what did 2k4 have against Stockman?
>>
>>91549004

They felt he was a stock character.
>>
>>91549004
Didn't he eventually become a hologram

Stockman had it rough

It was the same in the comics as far as I recall, punishment by Shredder for his constant failures.

If you mean Mirage, then he made the choice to take out his own brain and put it in a robot. The turtles kicked his ass and Don kept what was left chained to a wall in his lab.

Wasn't he just a head in Don's fridge by the time of Volume 4?
>>

Limbless torso chained to a wall. He got mouthy so Don blew him up with a laser gun.

In the 2003 TV series he eventually became a head in a variety of robots, a few of them before being a brain floating in a tank, a few happened after that.

>>91546848
Thought that this was the bloke from Captain Planet.
>>
>>91549004
Stockman is probably the most evil villain in the early parts of the original Mirage run. Other antagonists may not be exactly noble, but they have some sympathetic qualities. Stockman wants to destroy New York for kicks.
>>
I read IDW TMNT and I love it. Should I read the original run? I heard it`s continuity is a mess and Vol. 3 is not canon. Is it still ongoing?

Christ, the 2003 show got darker than I remember.

Then again, I have vivid memories of the episode "I, Monster".

Rat King? He's been a part of Ninja Turtles lore forever. He's a creepy fuck in every incarnation except the 80s cartoon, where they turned him into a surfer dude.
>>
>>91551348
The more I learn of it, the less I like the 80s cartoon.
>>
>>91550930
>>91551073
Probably because it tried to be closer in tone to the comics. >>91549453 >>91549550

Of course as far as kid cartoons allow.
>>
>>91551386
The 80s cartoon is the most campy of the TMNT incarnations, so it's like its own thing really.
>>
>>91550653
Volume 1 have canon and non canon issues by guest artists
Volume 2 is canon but short
Volume 3 published by Image was dark and edgy. It was made to be canon but Laird didn't like it and skipped it when he made Volume 4
Volume 4 is canon but not finished cause Laird sold the franchise to Viacom
You also have a spin off called Tales of TMNT. Volume 1 is canon but very short and Volume 2 have a a lot of various artists, some issues are canon others not.

Thanks again. Is a shame the Mirage comic is unfinished, I read Laird`s blog (seems like a cool guy) and I don`t think he is going to release a new Issue, at least not soon.

Volume 4. They're adults and Mikey made pregnant an alien queen. By the way this pic about Volume 4 conclusion is not official, it's a request from a fan.

Ya, Laird can finish Volume 4 whenever he wants. He legally has the right to do 18 issues a year. He just didn't because of how tired he is of the franchise. It's the entire reason he sold it to Viacom in the first place.
>>
>>91554023
Yes but I'm sad to see that he is almost disgusted by it now.
>>
>>91554023
>>91553813
Every time I remember the deal Laird cut with Viacom and the Turtles, I think it's the best deal ever.

>Get a shitton of money
>Probably still making some bank off new TMNT stuff
>Allow to do your own TMNT comic and keep the rights to those comics

That he doesn't utilize it doesn't change that it's a pretty sweet deal.

It is indeed. Too bad he is no more productive. If he was we will have two tmnt ongoing in the same time.
>>
>>91552824
About volume 4: you are wrong. Laird can still publish 18 issues a year. He just doesn't want to. Which is for the best, considering what a train wreck vol. 4 was
>>
>>91554174
I know he can but it's not finished. I don't see where I'm wrong. Volume 4 is "special" but I like the way we can see turtles as adults who try to live their own life and face the consequences of their actions.

Too bad it is constantly being shoved into people's faces like it's the "definitive" version of the entire franchise while stuff like 2K3 is ignored.

The toys and games for the show were great though. Especially the old toyline's bizarre, if not sometimes tasteless, feel.
>>
>>91551386
It was pretty fun as long as you don't compare it with the rest of the franchise
>>
80's Turtles tv show = Batman 66 TV show.
It's very own thing and awesome for kids.

>Too bad it is constantly being shoved into people's faces like it's the "definitive" version of the entire franchise while stuff like 2K3 is ignored.
It was the most popular the franchise had ever been and lasted nine years. It was an absolute cultural phenomenon.

2003 may have been better, but it cannot compete with that.

Because he's not dumb enough to handicap his muscle. Baxter Stockman could do his job as long as his mind was intact, so it didn't matter if he lost a few limbs. Or all of them.
