I feel like the writers are gonna redeem Hans in the sequel. They've already established him as a butt monkey in both Frozen & Frozen Fever, always getting treated like a punchbag. They're trying to punish Hans so much, that even the regular audience is going to think their torture treatment is excessive. Disney's gonna pull that character through the wringer to have pity unlock the road to redemption.
