Quite a surprise, honestly. It's nice to see these sort of changes get retroactively justified by good writers making use of the characters further down the line. I always prefer either ignoring dumb changes or actually spinning shit into gold over just outright retconning something directly or shortsightedly beating the fuck out of them in some misplaced sense of violent catharsis.

Though I don't actually know what the All New, All Black Powergirl was up to before this. It's been at least a year since she showed up, yeah? If not more.
