Saw this episode on demand. It was awesome, and pretty much kills the "Cassandra is secretly evil" speculation.

I like this episode as well, however, it did dislike the "humourous" subplot with Eugene. It made him seems retarded and the humor got old and quick. He's better than that. Other than that, it was fun episode. I can even let go of oddity of rapunzel easily entering without king's notice.

Rapunzel was a delight this episode.

Of course, she's like that for all episodes so far.

I totally thought they were going to have Cassandra abandon the ring to get the frying pan for Rapunzel to defeat Wreck

As it was, Cass hiding the pan in the first place didn't have any real bearing, which I found strange since they took a moment to emphasize it

I can understand the frustration though, having that character who effortlessly waltzes through challenges despite having very little practice or experience in those things can get annoying

Problem I think with the proposed disorder of the episode airing schedule is that character development is going to be rather shaky

I wasn't expecting a Samurai Jack linear story but I'm surprised that there hasn't been any mention of the wider plots

No Varian, Lady Caine, spikes, or really any of the questions about the hair coming back

Not saying the episodes aren't quite nice but I wonder when the next time we'll get some progress on those points will be

I think the first batch of episodes so far are mainly focused on showing the character dynamics, except for the Varian one which helps set up the big plot.

We got the Eugene + Cass episode, this is a Rapunzel + Cass episode, etc etc

But yeah I hope we get more plot stuff too, sooner rather than later.

We've already seen that her magic hair is different now. it no longer heals, it's apparently invulnerable, and it can move on its own.

We know her hair is way superhumanly strong, from when it formed the shield and then shrugged off those tons of rubble.

Okay question for the people who've worked on the show (I know at least one of you is in here), Is there gonna be some lore or like an overarching plot?

Interesting to see that despite her loyalty to Rapunzel, Cassandra having a lot to prove can sometimes get in the way of their friendship. Seems like they're having a bit of a contrast between her tough-as-nails demeanor and some insecurities she has about not being taken seriously.

Also Rapunzel is a better shot with a GUITAR than most people are with bows and can defeat a gauntlet of hammers and several of the bravest warriors in Corona with nothing but some dance moves with her eyes closed.

Maybe it's a good thing she doesn't have a mean bone in her body and just wants to be everyone's friend.

But she also ckearly recognized Rapunzel honestly didn't know, which is when she should have told her.

So, remind me what Rapunzel is getting out of her friendship with Cassandra? Because at this point the biggest interactions Cassandra has had with Rapunzel first involved the princess keeping a secret from her boyfriend for a selfish reason (I might get in trouble!) and the next big episode to focus on the two of them involved Cassandra being, for lack of a better word, a massive bitch.

Hell Eugene and Cassandra have a relationship that's easier to watch because the two of them know the score - they don't like each other and they'll spend all day taking pot shots but will serious the fuck up if anything actually happens. We're supposed to buy Cassandra being Rapunzel's best friend (female) as a good, healthy relationship and I'm not seeing that so far.
