western "animation" is better animated throughout, there's no stagnant images with flapping mouths like in all anime, when people are standing around and talking there's movement and constant physical expression (most times to make subtle jokes), so hyper realistic character design isn't as easily constantly moved as cartoony blockheads with noodle arms (and they're funnier)

Because in the west, animation is seen as a thing that is EXCLUSIVELY for children, barring some exceptions like Family Guy or South Park.

And even those are as juvenile as possible.

Animation in the west is a cheap, disposable thing, either for children who don't know any better or adults who don't care.
