ITT: Costumes that could never work in live action.
I refuse to believe they could adapt it while keeping in line with what Ted is about and not turn it into TACTICOOL Batman-lite
>>91522491
Why not?
>>91522491
every character that just wears underpants
>>91522491
>>91522573
Spider-Man already disproves both of these and pretty much anything based on a fullbody fabric suit.
They would certainly choose to change them just because that's the trend, but it's not because the costumes "would never work"
>>91522491
Not just the costume but Plastic Man in general can not work in any live action medium more than any other superhero with stretch powers just because of how often he uses them and how loose he is with it.
Most just stretch their lines but Plastic Man goes out of his way to turn into crazy things for slapstick. It would look really uncanny in live action.

just give the guy some pants!!
maybe he could be totally CGI? so you can play the uncanny valley aspect as a side effect of his plasticness (everything else is live action except him)
>>91522667
Fucking bullshit.
Spider Man actually has a cool design.
That red leg material but blue groin is the gayest god damn thing I have seen in memory.
>>91522491
There's no design that can't be adapted to live action.
>>91522667
No one is going to put OMAC's gaint mohawk on a movie
>>91522816
i'd rather have a animated plastic man movie than a live action movie simply because of how much CGI it would have to be
>>91523867
>that red leg material but blue groin is the gayest god damn thing I have seen in memory
When was the last time that you look at yourself in a mirror?

Explain this then
>>91522816
>saying this when The Mask movie is a thing
Ok
>>91524343
Their loss, honestly. It'd be great.
>>91522491
Omac's design doesn't even work that well in the comics. It's a shame because he's kind of an incredible character.
>>91522600
Because it looks fucking stupid.
>>91522816
>>91526090
How about an official, full feature quality animated kino taking place in the DCEU with a Deadpool kind of mood with Plastic Man and all of the other really wacky characters like Vibe and the Wonder Twins.
>>91522491
He'd just be a nigga in a monochromatic suit.
How many movies in would the DCEU have to be for us to get live action Omac? I feel like it would have to reach double digits before it was even discussed.
>>91527550
A Plastic Man movie set in the DCEU would be one big commentary on WB's management of DC movies.
>>91522491
What is OMAC's deal? Like I've heard of him but I don't know shit about him at all.
>>91527608
So what he is right now?
>>91527698
He just another boring o.p. Jack Kirby character with a shit design like all his other DC creations. He would have been a lot more interesting if Jack had broken down and consulted Stan the Man.
>>91526612
>Plastic Man and Heathcliff are in cahoots
It all makes too much sense.
>>91527669
If Jonah Hex or the Suicide Squad can get a movie, OMAC doesn't seem so far fetch.
>>91527704
A white guy in a monochromatic suit
>>91528180
Wasn't OMAC created by the government or something? If he was created to be a hero the look could be a way to make him look as non-threatening as possible so normal people won't be scared. I mean when's the last decade a mohawk made someone look anything other than silly?
>>91528266
He's supposed to look intimidating. The whole point of Omac is to stop conflicts before they happen.
>>91528266
He was a One Man Army Corp created by the Global Peace Agency. I would assume that they created him to look threatening so their enemies would be scared. OMAC was created in the 70's, so his hairstyle might have been a bit of an older man projecting his fears of the emerging youth culture (punk) onto his character. Kirby was also a WWII veteran and, according to Wikipedia, some soldiers wore their hair in a mohawk style to intimidate their opponents.
